Does Your Phone Start Ringing When You Get Busy?

It is a mystery to me, but sometimes I can go all day without hearing the phone ring. Then, just when I get started doing something that really requires my undivided attention, the phone will start ringing. How do you handle these situations? I hate to tell the caller that I will get back to them, so I will usually stop what I am doing even though I am wasting valuable time.

LOL yeah I've noticed that as well. Also if I wait and wait for a frind to come over - just when I quit waiting and start doing something else, they are at the door :-)

It is so funny how it always seems to work out that way, Phlamingo. Sometimes I think they must have radar that says, now you can bug them because they're busy, LOL.

Well lucky for me we have caller id and an answering machine. If I am truely busy then I just let the answering machine answer it. If they don't leave a message or even if they do, when I am not so busy I will call them back.
But yes this does happen to me. It also never fails that my phone will not ring and then I get company and it is like Grand Central Station. LOL

Yes that has happened to me a few times lol but I am normally glad of the break so I really don't mind
The only time that it used to annoy me is when I was working as an Area Manager lol I could be training my Staff or something and a Customer would ring wanting some information or putting a problem my Way lol

It happens all the time. You see, as soon as you get to doing something, an invisible ray emits from the phone lines that enters the house or apartment of the other person and tells him or her telepathically, "Call (please insert your name here) Call () Obey me! " and if you are in the washroom, the call becomes more insistent and the telepathic voice tells your caller to keep the phone ringing, but as soon as you get to the phone, the telepathic voice tells him or her "now hang up the phone!"

Hi. It sure does, and its sooo annoying. When Im busy doing something this always happens, my cell phone just went off 10 minutes ago, another unimportant call... Ive turned my cell off for the night. Sometimes if Im home I turn my lan line off or my cell off and I keep my other cell phone on all the time, for our children, my husband and close family... Nobody else no my second cell phone number, which is a blessing dissguise lol...

My phone rings anytime it wants to. LOL I have my people in my phone book set to pre-set individual ringtones, so I know who is calling just by listening. If I am busy, I wait till I am finished what I am doing and call them back.
