What is the best thing about having a best friend?

I would like to begin by asking what everyone's interpretations of a best friend are? Is it someone you can call up no matter the time of day? tell all your troubles to? can you not speak for months but know that you are still there for each other no matter what? What things have you and your best friend got in common? Have you ever done something for your best friend that was 100% appreciated, or them you? This is your chance to share your best friend with the world tell everyone how special that person is to you. My best friend and I can go months without speaking but when we do call each other up, we're on the phone for hours, and it's like we chatted yesterday. We've been friends for over 20yrs and I cannot imagine life without her! She is godmother to my son, and I would trust her with my life and my deepest darkest secrets.

My best friend and I have been friends for over 20 years, and I thank God for her all the time. To me a best friend is someone who chooses to love you even when they know all your faults. My best friend and I talk as much as we can but we both know if we need something the other will be there in an instant. We have gone through hard times and good times together, shared secrets, cried together, laughed together. I would be lost without her in my life!

I think it's true to say that a girl usually has one best friend I wouldn't mind a male perspective on things too.

for me, bestfriends are the people whom you find security and confidence to tell them anything about you. you give them your full trust and love. that will all the conflicts that might arise, you consider your friendship with them first.. its a great feeling to have bestfriends. in times of problems, youll know who to call first, when youre happy, the feeling of being excited to tell them everything.

My best friend and I met in kindergarten, and we are the same way. She lived in Germany for 3 years and still when we talked on the phone and when she came home it was like we were never apart. We live very close to each other, but we only talk two or three times a month, and we try to get together every couple of months and it is like the time apart was never there. It is strange when you think about it, but we are so attuned to each other that we can immediatley tell if something is wrong with the other person. And, yes, there have been many times when one of us would call each other in the middle of the night because of some problem we just had to discuss. We both will drop what we are doing to run to aid the other, no matter what. I am so glad that we are friends like this, and we would both trust each other with our lives, our children, and our deepest secrets. It has always been this way, and I hope that never changes!

I think the best thing about having a best friend is having someone there for you all the time. I have only had two really good best friends that were in my life so far...I know two girls that I wish were my best friends...but anyways...my friend in highschool (we don't talk anymore and my husband). I like being able to talk about anything to them and to laugh and cry and be myself....

I have a bestfriend, we've became bestfriend when we are still in high school, I am 1 year older than him. But it looks like his older than me. Anyways, he's a very busy person, ever since we went to college, we seldom see each other. It's really tough for us, he's a scholar at that time, he has no time to call or text me. But when he went home, he really makes sure that we're spending the whole days or weeks that he can only stay. I mean, he goes home only when he has time, he would also cancel everything. I am his first priority. :) we share everything (except undies) hehehe, talk anything under the sun,cry on our shoulder, EVERYTHING... even if he has a girlfriend, he still prioritize me. my bestfriend is my confidant, my advicer, he always protects me... EVERYTHING. :)

yeah life with bestfriends really make life worth living. i have two bestfriends and before we became best of friends we we're best of enemies... how ironic right?.... but life with them made hard things easier for me to handle. crying in front of them makes me laugh at the same time cry and then laugh again in short it makes me act a little insane but in a good way. we have lots of common maybe that's one reason why we found each other and are now bestfriends. we can be express our selves more if we are with people we know cares for us and loves us and best of all accepts who we really are.

I have bestfriend too whom I met when I was in 2nd year high school and we were like 13 or 12 that time.. until now we are still bestfriends and we are already 21.. the best thing about having a bestfriend is that when things gets tough you know there is one person whom you can rely on and that there is someone who is ready to listen on all your sentiments.. Weve been apart for few years but we have crossed each others path again and we were really happy.. we chatted for long time and laugh as if theres no tomorrow.. hehe

You and your best friend sound a lot like me and mine. This year will be 20 years that we've been best friends. Her son is my godson and I love him like my own, his birth is the reason I'm afraid of labor, after almost 48 hours... it didn't look like it was fun and spending almost 4 nights (I stayed the entire time she did) in a hospital was not the most comfortable time. Sometimes we'll have our moments and not speak for a while but when we talk again it's like not even a minute went by. She's an amazingly strong woman and keeps me sane.
