Do you take your young kids to art class? music class? gym class?

I know there are some classes like Kindermusic and such but what if you could do 3 classes a week, all by the same teacher at the same place for 1 fee. Or you could pick and choose, getting a discount for multiple classes.
Would that interest you for your children 2-5?

I've always tried to keep my kids' schedules light. When my oldest two were younger they were each in Scouts, and usually just one other after school activity each. My littlest just turned 5 and it's only been in the past few months that I have even considered a structured class for him. I can't imagine having a preschooler in 3 classes a week, it seems to overwhelming.

I'm not sure, but I think what she means is 3 classes would be offered a week and you could pick and choose which ones to do, based on what the child wanted to do. I could be wrong though. I can imagine 3 classes a week for a kid would be tough-- and tough on the parent getting the child there too.

My idea was to offer 3 different classes a week. Say like...art Monday, gym Wednesday and music Friday. The parents would have the option to do only 1 class a week or all 3.
I know my son is 3 and he has been doing some preschool camps, twice a week for 2 hours. He is always asking to go back because he has so much fun with the other kids.
It really depends on what the parents want and what the child is ready for. It would be fun, not like a burden. Just to be able to do something different and meet other people too.

Actually after thinking about it more, if it was all offered by the same instructor/instructors and more or less the same group of kids; I think that would be a neat idea. It was the idea of 3 different activities that I didn't think my son was ready for, but if there were some constants I think he'd handle that just fine.

I'm a preschool teacher and I had 2-3 years olds. Kindermusic would come by to do special classes and we had a gymnastics teacher that would come every two weeks or something like that. The kids loved it, so I would totally recommend getting kids involved in those kinds of classes. It's good for them to be involved and get them active at a young age.

I also think it is good to get them active. I know mine play outside a lot and I do crafts and other activities with them but because I stay home they don't get a whole lot of interaction with other kids.
That is really neat that the pre-school did that.

I would like that for my son when he is older. I think children need a choice-- and with that kind of setup they would be able to choose which one they'd like to do that day since there is one fee. I think it would be neat.

Yes. My thing too is that there isn't a place to do all 3. We took Gym in one city, art is in another and we haven't done music because it was not for the right ages. Only one of my children could go to the class at a time and I can't be with both. If there was a range of ages I think more parents would be able to join in.
