Is there something about you that makes you look like something you are not? Do you get misjudged?

Hi there. There have been a couple times where Ive been misjudged and taken for the B word... I think it has alot to do with me being upfront and honest, open minded and out spoken... I am not afraid to speak my mind... I know some people misjudge me for that, which I dont have a problem with it, after all they're making themselves unhappy not me... I think if they had got to know me, before judging, they would find that I was a happy nut just like them LOL...

There are a number of things that make people misjudge me, or least in the past they did. I do have a disability, panic disorder with agoraphobia, but thanks to my mother of all people she actually used to mention things to people about it that made people think I was a grade "A" moroon..My mother was great in trying to come across as the woe-begone poor me victim and to "enhance" this attitude would tell people different things about me..that were all lies...I actually started to get a complex since I would bump into people my mom knew and they would say, "Oh, its so great to see you OUT here.." I'd look at them like, well what's the big deal here...Well I later found out my mom was telling people that "Oh, my daughter is agoraphobic, she NEVER leaves the house." Also I got it from another person that the way my mom used to talk about me that all I did was stay at home and stare at the four walls and hadn't done anything with my life...My one friend who was a mutual friend of both my mom's and myself was amazed when I was trying for grants and I needed references...this was tied in with my photo work...so I took a portfolio of my work to show off as she had never seen my work...she was flabbergasted and had no idea of my "talents"---My mom never told people of my success as a published photographer, that one of my photos on the cover of a magazine was cited as best magazine cover of the year--oh no! MY sweet, dear mother never told anyone..so people misjudged me for a long time thinking I was some kind of idiot. Then I admit there's the way I dress...lets put it this way I'm by no means conservative in the way I dress...LOL..in fact I've been told I look very "artistic"--LOL but because of it people tend to think I'm a ding-a-ling..LOL...it isn't until they get to know me that they realize that I'm an articulate, smart, intelligent person..so different from maybe how I dress I could go on...hehe...but I think this is enough..LOL
