Well it just figures I washed a few things out by hand today and hung them on line outside to dry. Yes it started to pour! I didnt make in time to get them so I said the hell with it. Now I heard that rainwater makes our clothes soft. Do you think thats true or not? Im leaving them out because I dont feel like getting all wet and besides they all already soaked.LOL Great start to my day!

i don;t know if its true, never heard of it just now..i had once that i didn't manage to get it all before the rain pours..i was not home when it happens and all of my clothes had been wet again by the rain..all i notice was it leaves some smell that is not good..like a fishy thing smell so i have to wash the clothes all over again.

Well I brought them yesterday and hung them around the house to dry and they felt softer and they were just fine. I dont know why your clothes smelled fishy. LOL

Yes it is true as that has happened to me a few times but they also say that Rain water is dirty which I can not see somehow as it is coming from the Sky not the Ground But yes as no doubt you have found out bu now it does soften the washing

I do think rain water is special. Be glad it's raining. One day I hung mine out and the birds used my sheets for a toilet!

My mother used to wash cloth in one of those old wringer washers when I was a kid and she would catch rain water in a berrel to wash with. I don't know if it made the cloth any softer than the stuff you can buy now days but this was in the 50s and 60s and we lived in some far out of town places.
