Do you know any good "tall tales", any real whoppers?

"Tall tales" are great, big, whopping lies told expressly for entertainment. A classic example can be found in the movie, "Fried Green Tomatos". The character "Buddy" spins for us the following: There used to be a big old lake, right here in our back yard. We used to swim, fish, and have a grand old time in it. I sure do miss that lake. One November, a flock of ducks landed on the lake to rest. All of a sudden, the temperature dropped so low that the lake froze solid, just like that! Those ducks flapped their wings and rose up in the air, they took that lake with them! I heard it wound up somewhere over by Valdosta, GA, where children swim in it to this day. Know any good ones?
