Job interviews and googling!

Did you know that potential employees are googling your name to see what information is out there on cyberspace about you? The large company my husband works for now has a full time person employed to do exactly this. Every resume that comes into their HR dept has a google search done to see what can be found. Be careful what you put out there into cyber world. Do you have anything online that you would not want your boss to know about?

That is SOOO interesting. I mean, they would learn more talking to people who know me, but this is a great way to find information that is not mainstream about the person. I wonder if more and more companies are doing that. I can't wait to share that information with some people I know. Kinda makes a person want to be extra cautious.

Isn't it interesting. I hope young adults and teens think a little more carefully about what they share online if they know their future career might be at risk.
