I need you, really.
It shouldn't matter where you reside from, but just for clerification, we're talking Canada here, more likely the place of my idiot uncle's residence, Manitoba.
Here's the thing.
I sold him a holiday trailer that i never used or registered because i just didn't want it anymore, in trade for this computer that i'm using right now.
(I figure if i'm going to camp. i don't want a television, walls and a roof, i wanna do it right, rough it shall i say.
anyway, I've called several registry agents, police and alike about this subject, and i always get the same answer, but seemingly he says i'm wrong here, so i'm looking for your opinion.
I gave him the registration pink slip from the last registered owner of the holiday trailer, which wasn't necessary and took me a year to track down the guy who actually had it registered last. I've been told all you need is a signed bill of sale from the person you bought it from with the proper numbers on it (VIN and such)
Which i did, as well as sent him a letter to get the scum out of my hair and be rid of this guy forever as he's nothing but like my father in every way.
Now he's telling me, yes he called me this morning to get on my nerves, and tells me that the bill of sale in my name is not sufficient and i legally have to have the guy with his name on the registration write out a bill of sale to my him.
Well, knowing the laws here i said he could deal with it himself and gave him the phone number to call, he said that it's my responsibility and i hung up on him.
I know, immature and all that crap, but don't the laws state, same as for a regular motorized vehicle or non motorized vehicle alike that all you need is a signed bill of sale with the corresponding numbers OR the previous owners registration, not both?

Sorry, i'm not either an agent or registry person, but i've had a similar problem! I bought a vehicle from a friend of mine here in Alberta, he bought it at Osman's auction with their bill of sale. So i had to make a new bill of sale right? Well i sold the vehicle to my uncle who lives in B.C., i didn't insure or register the vehicle before selling it, so i made my uncle a bill of sale. B.C. registries gave my uncle a hard time, so he called me several times saying he needed the registration from the last registered owner, i told him that's impossible and B.C. registries can find the last owner on their computer system. My uncle finally got insurance and registration from being persistant. You have done all you can and done it the proper way. It should be up to Man. to allow for insurance and registration! Take care Spitfire.
