You automatically get a star at 100 points unless of course everyone hates you then you dont get one. Believe or not there are some very nasty people here who do not get a star.

Not at EVERY 100 points. You'll get your one and only star at 100 points and from then on it will change color and the number in the middle of the star will change. Either up or down which is a result of your ratings by other members.

Your response was informative too. You get ONE star and it's the number and color that changes. Why doesn't Mylot explain that or did I just miss something? Thanks.

Welcome to myLot vonsmom. You will get your star when you reach your 100 response. The color of the star is determined by other myLotters. The better your responses and discussions are the more positive ratings you will get. You do see the + - ! at the side those are the ratings. The ! is for reporting real abuse and cheaters when you see and catch them. Cheaters are those that copy and paste someone elses discussions or responses verbatume.

I think when you reach a hundred you get your star, the color and number describe of your star,your star can goes off how people have been rating you,and now you are half way there to your star so keep up the great work, also if you have reach 500 post you are able to copy and paste,that comes in handy with links. some take advantage of it though, dont worry your star will show up soon,i hope you will get a good number as well,just remember to post and care in what you are writting about and people will rate you good and your star will have a big fat 10 number in it.

You get the star NOT on how long you've been a member, but upon reaching your 100th post. I've just been a memeber 5 days ago, and I got my star when I reached my 100th post.

hi there!! welcome to mylot. when i was new here, i often wondered how people got a star beside their names, with numbers inside it. and i found out that when you reach 100posts you'l have it with a number inside it, which means your reputation here. i was so happy when i got mine. soon enough you'l get yours too, just halfway to your 100th post. keep on posting and enjoy!!

it applies to how many posts you put and the quality of your writing i think, maybe how long you go on everyday as well.
