some say it was cause that was how they were broght up. some say its just what they are comfortable with. some say they just follow cause they dont know. others think that theres is the only and true one. there are so many different types and i personally think that no one is the right one. i think we all have the right to believe the way we want to. i was just wondering why you picked the religion you did. i have looked into many faiths and came up with my own really. i dont read the bible. i dont go to church . i dont think i need to pay a guy to preach to me. i dont think i am going to hell or heaven. i just believe that what you do comes back to you. i believe in treating others the way you want to be treated. i believe in helping others. i believe in alot of things but alot of it comes from differnt religions yes even wicca, jewish, morman, bapist, etc. i take alittle from all. what is your reason you think yours is the only way though.

I think any religion that advocates peace, decency and charity is a true religion. I also know that fundamentalist and other Christians truly believe that salvation only can come if you believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your saviour. Then some people believe in re-incarnation. Others believe in Judaism or Islam. I think also everyone should be able to follow whichever religion suits them and fulfills their spiritual needs. But noone should impose their beliefs on others.

I am a Christian, but do not belong to any church. I was born into a Roman Catholic family, but was an atheist upto the age of 40. After that I was attracted to the Bible and read it and believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ. I am taught by the Bible that one will enter to the Kingdom of God only through believing in Jesus as the son of God and accepting him as saviour. I believe it that way. But I am not to impose this upon others through arguments or alluring. The message is sent to every one through defferent methods. Jesus had said that his herds will hear his words. So to realize this and believe is to be desided by the individual. Thank you for the topic.

I don't think that my religion is the only way, but I do think that my deities actually exist as spiritual beings. Therefore making my religion "true". I just don't believe that my deities are the only ones that exist, in fact I think that just about any deity that has been worshipped exists in some form. I view having different religions as like having different families. My Gods are my Gods because they are the ones who showed me love and comforted me when I needed it, when I was a small child. They're like my parents, my relatives, my friends. Other people belong to different families, and that's perfectly normal and right in my opinion.

I dont know that my religion is right for everyone but I know its right for me and what I needed to resolve my past to grow spiritually to be a better person. I used to think going to church was a big waste of time but I know that my going now helps to keep my mind on the right track and stay positive. After all even a wise man can learn from a fool, but its the fool who cant learn from the wiseman.

I do not think my religion is the only way to get to heaven or to do things. I do think it is the only way for me, because I've tried other religions and they left me feeling like there was something missing. Now I don't feel that way. Choosing what you believe and the best from a variety of religions to create your own is very cool. My religions "borrows" from a couple of different religions, at least! Maybe I should say that it incorporates a couple of different religions and a few things from others. As long as your religions works for you and you are happy, than that's the one that is for you. Take care

Hello writersedge, will you please disclose your religion so that we shall have an idea about what you are telling?

I have avoided disclosing my religion because of another post I have going in which I am attempting to be impartial. But since you respectfully asked, I shall answer. Good Medicine Society primarily That didn't tell you much, did it? Incorporates Native and Earth traditions--still didn't tell you much, huh? But now you know what it's based on.
