Do we get penalized for putting discussions into the wrong category?

Although I try to match my discussion as closely as possible to the correct category, I am sure there are times when I pick the wrong forum to post in at My Lot. For instance, I can't seem to locate my food interest icon, so most times I post food or cooking related questions on the My Lot cooking forum. And, there's more than one correct place to post child/parenting related topics, including parenting, had kids and children's forums. Recently a friend of mine pointed out that we may not get paid if we post a discussion in the wrong category. Does anyone know if this is true? And, if so, do we simply not get paid or would our discussion actually get deleted.

I don't think this is true. Many of the discussions could go in several categories, so I don't think there is a right one. I've never had a discussion deleted.

I'm not surprised you've never had a discussion deleted! You are always polite. I would think that you don't have an enemy in the world!

Thank you for your kind comment. I'll put you in touch with my enemies so you can tell them that. lol. Actually, I can't think of any enemies that I have. I've never been in a fist fight. I don't get into serious arguments. I've never had anyone really hate me. Wow. I have led a sheltered life. I better get out and experience the world before it is too late. lol. I think a lot of it is because my parents never expressed anger, not even toward each other. I think I grew up thinking showing anger was wrong. In the long run that was not good for me, because the first time my wife got angry at me, I didn't know how to handle it. That wasn't supposed to happen. She has taught me a lot about handling anger. I needed that.

By nature I'm a very open person especially when it comes to showing my emotions. But, my spouse is not. He had the same issues with me for awhile. He could not understand why I wanted to confront issues head on and deal with them. His attitude was that we should brush them under the rug. Now, I am becoming more calm, since having a baby. I don't want to show that type of confrontational attitude especially in front of my child. She picks up and mimics everything! I want her to be a calm person. But, I suppose it will help that I teach her how to deal with others who are not so calm. Thank you for your insight. Very much appreciated. You brought up some good points I had not considered. As always, very good advice! I have much to think upon.

I think a lot of times it is a matter of opinion which category to put a question in. Some of the categories are so broad and vague, they could cover just about anything.

Dear beautyqueen26, I do not think we are penalized for putting the discussions in the wrong category because certain discussion I posted my discussion into different category instead of right category. It was not deleted and I got answers to my discussion. I do not know whether I got paid for the discussion or not. I feel that they paid me because I just to used to calculate how much I would get for my effort in my lot. Most of the time my calculation differed between 5 to 10 pennies only. Therefore I feel there is no wrong in posting under different category. However, there are many members who would write to you better answer than me because they know the rules of mylot better than me.
