It is wonderful how the old time comic book artists and animators were able to draw so realistically as to make their productions so convincing. They were easily able to pull the reader and viewer into the story.I would safely call this magic, something which is still readily available, but which sadly is ever bother with nowadays. There are a few artists now who do use the more realistic approach but again sadly are few and far between. The old comics and cartoon films of the past had memorable stars in their productions, many of them going back 60 to 70 years or more.We are apt never to forget them....ever. I myself love all of these characters, but I do have personal favorites. One of my all time favorites is ofcourse, you guessed it "Speedy Gonzales"...."The Fastest Leetle Mouse In All Of Mexico"Speedy is the epitome of old Mexico.Everything he says and does just drips with that Mexican flavor. His habit is naturally Mexico but naturally old Mexico.Speedy's adventures fantastic and ofcourse funny.I really love this little guy,and hope that the newer generation of comic artists would take a leaf out of these old artists books,or sketch pads and learn.Maybe they should take the whole book.To those present day artists out there may I say "Hey guys stop using computers and such like stuff for your productions, get real, lose the crutch, you are much better than a machine....or are you?maybe the machine is the real artist huh???
