Was attending a function to facilitate journalist. Dr Abudl Kalam, ex President of India was also present. What he said was that journalism if a very powerful tool and what journalist write today on the front pages are not worth reading. Why not write something which will inspire the future generation instead of who wore what and who was with who. The pen can influence the future generation to no extent and wield the child away from useless thrash.

I believe so. I agree with him. Look at newspapers of today, because of all the terrorism talk either overblown by journalists or real it has caused a lot of fear with the people. Fashion and new stuff become a fad because of what journalists say. Therefore, journalists should think first before they right. Sometimes, I get so bored at reading stuff in the newspaper because they don't make my life easier. On the other hand, it's not only journalists who are powerful, lawmakers too. They can sue journalists as quickly as an inkblot if journalists are not careful. *LOL* =)
