At the tender age of 48 (GASP!), I have, at long last, fallen deeply and truly in love. This is surely a love that will last forever... or at least until the warranty expires! That's right, my friends, the new love of my life is my Dirt Devil Reaction vaccuum cleaner. It's the first "cyclonic" vaccuum that i can actually afford. It was only $149 U.S., as opposed to the Dyson line of cyclonics, which start at about $400. I am here to report, the cyclonic vacs DO hold suction much longer than their traditional counterparts. It is not true that they never lose suction, but it takes a great deal longer, several empties of the dirt cup, before you have to shake out the foam rubber piece of the filter to get rid of the dust. They have also redesigned the dirt cup and made emptying it a breeze. I bought my first bagless vac in 2000, and the only thing I never liked about it was the clunky way you had to empty the cup. All better now, just lift the huge dirt container off, hold it over the trash can, push one button, done! Must go now, surely there's something that needs vaccuuming.....!
