How NOT to tell somebody the ingredients of curry powder

I have a friend in America who said she had not heard of curry! So helpful little me toddled off to the kitchen and picked up the curry powder and typed up a nice list of ingredient. I am not sure how things happened but I slipped grabbed the container too tightly, lid shooshed off closely followed by half a tin of curry powder - all over my bed, as my computer is in the bedroom. I have shaken the linen in the garden and washed it in a machine but I can not stop sneezing. So, next time somebody wants an ingredient list I am going to do what I should have done this time. I shal look it up on the internet and send them the link. Even though there is no sign of the curry powder the itchiness of it is in the air and Other Half comes home tomorrow evening, so I am frantically trying to cover my tracks. He knows I am clumsy, but he will think this episode takes the biscuit!

Surprisingly, yes I did lol. I am more careful now but I still have lots of spills in the kitchen, but then a home is meant to smell of cooking smells, isn't it? Or is that just baking bread when you want to sell?

I'm still laughing! I don't have any advice, but I needed this today. Good luck with your Other Half. :)

Glad to be of service :-) I have done other things since then, I never seem to run out of daft things to do. I crushed an oxo cube the other day and it shot through the foil and the powdered oxo went up my nose. NOT recommended!

I didn't think of it like that, but now you mention it, that is very true and very unfair but that's life! I have done more daft things since then though :-)

Wow, that's almost like a cartoon in the making. Ok, first how can some one not have heard of curry? Do they live in a bubble? Second, I suggest next time writing down the list while still in the kitchen. Good luck getting all that curry out!

Yup, my niece begs me to buy a cam corder to make sure she doesn't miss anything like this. Truly, my friend has never heard of curry, and yes I shall certainly do anything like that by making the list in the kitchen. It is months now and still there are traces of the powder in things I pick up that I have not used since that time!

OH my, how funny, I'm sorry for you though. Have you tried washing the blankets in baking soda? Baking soda removes a lot of oders. That would be the best suggestion I have.

Thank you for the tip, the baking soda is now on the shelf within easy reach. I shook the blankets out and they have since been to the dry cleaners and I denied all knowledge of the curry powder, saint I ain't lol.
