How do I stop mosquitos in a small pool?

I have a small pool where mosquitos think it is their own private breeding ground. Bleach works but I need to apply it every few days as we get lots of rain. I just don't know what else to use. Help!

I've heard that a drop of dish soap will break the tension of water and mosquito larva will drown. You shouldn't have to replace it after every rain, unless it rains hard enough to overflow the pool.

Yeah, I have tried that, too. I live in FL and we have been getting some .5 to 1" of rain every day. The stupid buggers dive till the storm is passed. Oil has the same results. :-(

Birds and bats will eat insects. You just need to attract them to your yard with food and shelter. Just a thought. :D

I've got plenty of spiders and dragonflies, too. They all do their share. Unfortunately, their cup overrunneth with skeeters. Do they make skeeter nets 200' x 200'? ;-)

I've seen these cakes that you put in ponds to control mosquito. just go to any pond supply site and they should have it. i've heard about the dish soap as well. good luck ;)

Well, depending on the size of the pool, a couple of cheap goldfish will help with the mosq. larvae. Also if it's about a 20 gallon pool, a submursible pump and filter will keep the water moving thus keeping the skeeter's away. Hope this helps.
