According to UrbanDictionary.Com post-Potter depression is "The empty feeling that comes after finishing the 7th book in the Harry Potter series and realizing there will be no more. I know I did feel that way when I finished the book. I even cried when I realized that I was reading the last few chapters of the book. Have you felt the same way?

yeah. I felt that too. at first I got so excited to finish this book after the last chapter, I began to realize " oh no there will no more harry potter series". but I still hope that J.K will write a book when harry already become an adult. I had checked on mugglenet. there one interview with J.K, which said she probabely will write harry potter encyclopedia. It's about the last chapter and other things at the last chapter of deathly hallows. but she said she will tke a break first. I hope this book will publish.

Right..J.K. never actually mentioned the word 'never' when it came to writing about harry again. I got a comment on my blog from someone saying that there are some good HP fanfic in manga.maybe u want to try that to?

Yup, I felt the same way too, even before I finished the book. Especially, when one by one, some of my favorite characters were dying, and one by one, all mysteries are being revealed. I was thinking "Oh no, they're revealing it all. It's going to end..." One can't helpt it, especially the fans who have looked after the story for years. :D

I dont know how anyone could ever have Post Potter Depression, its only a book, granted it has a good storyline, but Dpression, thats a bit far isnt it. I did think the book was a bit dissappointing, bit slow, but its a book, not a real life event that would affect you.

yes in some way, though I'm comforted with the fact that my collection is complete and I can re-read Harry's adventures. And I'm excited anew coz I'm looking forward to the day my daughter can read it with me, she is almost 6 and starting to read I'm hoping that by next year we will be able to share Harry's adventures. That is what I'm looking forward to nowadays....

Oh, and I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I did feel sad knowing that it would be the last but ms rowling did a great job in ending the book. It was not a hanging story but we just want more of Harry. I was trying to scan the last pages whether there would still be more that I didn't see. LOL. I didn't cry though but it was just a sad feeling that after all these years we've followed them, there would be none left to follow. Its also sad that a lot of characters that we've learned to love from book one are gone in this book. Anyway, I guess that's just the way things are.

I felt a little sad about getting close to the end while still reading the book. Then once I read the ending, I felt elated! It surpassed my expectations, much the same way it did after reading the first book. I now feel happy about it ending as it did. Also, ther eis room enough for our imaginations to go wild. It's great!

I've found myself reading every post about the book that I can find online. I'm still trying to figure out a few of the things that JK Rowling had said were going to happen. Mainly, the person who 'uses magic later in life in a desperate time'. I THINK she meant Molly, but I'm confused because she was already a witch. I read someone's post that said he carried the book around for some time with out reading it. His explaination ? If he didn't open it, no one would die. I thought that that was funny. I'm looking for a good fan fiction site to help ease my withdrawal symptoms! I guess the bottom line is...yep. I've got post-Potter depression! I do hear that there is a support group somewhere online though!
