My boyfriend went on vacation 9 years ago before with his 2 friends in Mexico and became very sick.He was on the beach and collapsed on the sand.He was rushed to the hospital there and they performed emergancy surgery. His pancreas was bleeding inside and while they were doing the surgery they cut a vein by mistake and had a hard time to control it.Finally the fixed it.He was in the hospital for the 3 weeks of his 1 month vacation. He had just started enjoying things for 3 days!!!Then he was given a $30,000.00 hospital bill.It had to be paid right away or he could not leave. They said that the vacation company had cancelled his travellers sickness or injury expense in his vacation package. So his friend paid the bill and he paid him back when he got home from the trip. They gave him a video of the surgery and we can see the whole thing even when they cut the vein bymistake. He still has the receipt from the operation. What a whopper,eh?Now adays its not safe to go any where because you never know what will happen.Plu be very carefull about vacation packages."Read the fine lines and check 3 times".What do you think of operations in different countries? Are they safe or are you scared to become a organ donor for some rich person.

A co-worker's husband was working in Thailand and had a heart attack. Although they had insurance, Blue Cross would not cover the necessary surgery. They had to put thousands of dollars on a credit card and continue to pay American Express monthly.
