How many tags do you fill in when responding a discussion? Do you enter just one very clear tag or more? Or maybe you don't tag at all? Lately I found myself filling in just one tag, so I don't waste to much time on that, but also to make sure I give a very clear tag to help others find the discussion.

I usaually put two tags to the discussion and sometime find it is not easy to find the right word to descript the tag, but mylot force me to get a tag otherwise I can post my comments or discuss. Of course more tags are better as it can help other to find the discuss easily.

I think two tags is enough. If everyone that responded a discussion would add 2 tags different than the existing all discussions would have a lot of tags.

I usually try to come up with two or three good ones, but not if it seems to be taking me a long time. I guess for me it seems that if the discussion were something I had really been thinking about, tags should come to mind quickly and easily. Then again, I only start discussions when I really have something on my mind, so I guess that's why I think of it that way. *shrugs*

i often do at least three tags whenever i can. if i run out of keywords to add, i would at least leave 1 or 2 tags in every post that it is required. i don't like wasting time on that either but it doesn't hurt to follow the guidelines. :)

I totally agree on following the guidelines. Tagging keeps the discussions better organized and is really helpful when we are looking for a certain topic.

I usually add 2 or 3 tags. I try not to think too hard about it and just note the first few things that quickly come to mind.

That's good! Because the first thing that comes into your mind it's the nearest to the topic.

well i usually put around 2 or 3 tags for each discussion i start and each one that i reply.... but i too find it as a waste of time if i fill more than 2 tags..... but as they help to find our discussion to be found while searhcing i though they might help it gain a few more responses...

Not sure what tags do? I have filled them in but don't always know whether to put a lot or just a few, or maybe one only? Is it a way of getting the discussion in different ones?

Tags help organizing the discussions into categories, so it is easier for someone to search a particular topic he wans to respond to. Therefore the tags should be as clear as possible. If you can't come up with many clear tags, that describe clearly the discussion's topic, then you should stick to one tag, but a good one.
