Are you willing to convert religion?

I know a couple who recently got married. The woman had to convert to the man's religion because the man's religion does not accept marriage with other religions.
Would you have done the same, give up your beliefs upon marriage? How far would you go for the one you love?

I could never change religions, for any reason, because I have a personal relationship with my Gods. I have known people who have pretended to change beliefs when they got married, while still really believing the same thing, but I couldn't live that kind of lie either. So if I were going to marry someone who insisted I change religions, I would just have to tell them I couldn't.
Thankfully, my husband, who is a different religion than me, never asked me to change, nor I him. We're perfectly happy being an interfaith family. =)

It's great that you have mutual respect for each other. That's the way it should be. I feel the same way, that I can't change religion in order to get married. In the first place, if she really loves me she wouldn't make such a demand.

i believe that if you love someone then all barriers are just mere stones that are to be brushed away from the path. if you really love someone then religion should really not be a barrier.
go ahead ... love always wins ...

I agree that your love for one another should be over and above any other issues.
