I think I agree with you. I loved the 80's movies. there were so many good ones but this movie truly represented all people and how we hide who we really are behind a persona and, when we let down our defenses, we're all the same and we can all get along. It's STILL one of my favorite movies.
Now if you would have said 70's, I would have had to say a tie between Dirty Dancing and Rocky Horror Picture Show.
But Breakfast Club is an outstanding movie way ahead of its time and much deeper than it seems.

My goodness...I'm almost surprised no one has named what I thought was one of the greatest movies of all time, and came out in 1982--none other than E.T....that movie still gets me crying hysterically at the end

Hi there 3lilangels, hope your having a good day!
My favorite 80's movie is without a doubt The Lost Boys. It was about vampires, and it was hilarious!

I'm going to say Monster Squad. Becuase it's a cult classic. It's funny because most people are all "i've never heard of it"... yet it's sold out on Columbia House dvd club. It went super fast on the shelves at stores...Obviously it's a mighty popular movie to the people who know a good movie when they see one!

I'm not really sure what my favorite 80's movie is. The Breakfast Club is definitely my sister's favorite, though. I've seen it probably a hundred times. It really is a good movie, but I'm not sure if I would say it is my very favorite. I can't really think of what movies were made in the 80's, though. I was pretty little back then, and they just kind of blend into the 90's for me.
