Internet is becoming part of our life. It has been a ritual for most of us to check our e-mails and surf the Internet as being part of our daily routine. For some, a day without going online seems to be uncomfortable or something is missing from the daily routine. Of course, some of us need to travel or being offline for a few day due to some personal or work related arrangement where Internet access is nowhere to be found. Can you really survive without the Internet? If yes, for how many days?

I think it would be hard for me if for some reason I couldn't use my computer anymore. Because most of the things normal people do I do by the internet; watch tv, listen to the radio, watch the weatherforecast. I think it is almost possible to live behind your computerdesk!

TV, gardening, cleaning, eating, reading newspaper and sleeping can occupy most of the time at home. That's normally what I'm doing. If I really need to check some important emails, then I will make a short trip to cybercafe.

I can't imagine life now without internet, just as much as I can't imagine life without a cell phone. This is very ironic considering that I've lived half my life without a cell phone. And it was okay then. But now, there has to be an internet to make things life easier and more enjoyable. If you have a competent boss, yyou don't have to go on meetings every now and then. You just have to email your reports. As for your relatives, you can always get in touch with them with a minimal cost. All said, I think I can survive without internet but I guess it would be difficult.

Hi, no now a days it is not possible i think, but again that is a state of mind. If we feel strongly that without the net we cannot live, we wont be able to but if we see that a few years back we never had the interent and things were good then too, we realise that some kind of other laternatives do come of it too, like if the computers crashed for a whole city for a few days what would you do? Well how long will you brood and get bored etc, not long as then maybe youd take out your walking shoes or skates or go for a run or play games or read a book or listen to music and do allthat you alwasy wanted to do but did not have the time away from the net , isnt it.So it is all a state of mind.

I don't know but it seems these days, I am more reliant upon the internet. Everything seems to revolve the internet, even education, study and entertainment. I could probably last if there were alternatives, such as not needing to do assignments and such. But if the net was to suddenly die, then I would be in a serious state of panic.

I am on the internet all the time. I make money on the internet, I shop on the internet, I communicate with faily and friends, I am entertained, and stay informed through the internet. I don't even have cable anymore, I just watch shows over the internet. I have two years left in the Army, there is no getting out of that, but when that time is up, I won't get a job, because I own an e-commerce business that I actually make as much if not more money from as I could from getting a traditional job, and as soon as I am out of the Army I will be working my hours, not someone elses. So the internet is a huge part of my life, I could live without it, but I would have to make serious changes.

Maybe a couple of days or weeks...If I'm on vacation definately I won't need it. After all, to survive in this earth we, human, still stick to the basic needs- water, food, fresh air and shelter. Let's us all just imagine those countries having war day and night or famine. Internet is just an extra to our life which provide easy-access, better (working) performance, greater connection with people, more information and etc. So what can I say, we are lucky to live with internet!

the longest i went with out the internet was a week, and i was very bored then. I would rather be on a PC then watching tv. I spend most of my time on two websites along with checking my email. I goto Heilum.com and Last.fm, I watch how many songs I have played and see what ways I can become better with my article writing.

But now that I am discovering some of the different ways to make money online I think I would have a much harder time doing without the internet. I think now if the computer went out I would atleast have to go out and rent one!

i think i can't realy survive live without intenet because right now i have intenet biznes or in other word Multilevel Marketing (MLM)..so i must to manage and promote my biz through intenet..i choose to promote via online method because i think it easy to promte my biz witnh intenet..i can meet million people through intenet such as in yahoogroup.. but a few day ago,i had read some report that elton john want government to stop internet service because he said that internet destroy the music industry..people can download any song that they like from intenet without buying cd or casette.
