My doctor asked me if I wanted to quit smoking and I said YES. He told me All Kids has finally decided to cover a stop-smoking aid. First time ever. So he put me on Chantix, a stop-smoking pill. I also registered at their GETQUIT Support website where I customized a plan just for me. I'll be getting daily emails to remind me to check in every day and do the activities they have listed for me. My first activity is to log every cigg I smoke thruout the day today. I'm all pumped up about this and know with help, I can quit for good this time. Wish me luck, my friends. :-)

Thanks kevsgirlalways. I've quit b4 cold turkey but after a few months, something very stressful happens in my life and I'm back at it again. This time, with help, I'm sure I can quit for good.

Thanks a bunch, my friend. :-) www.chantix.com is their website but like most other stop-smoking aids, you need a prescription from your doctor. Since the medical card recently started covering it, I'm sure your health insurance will as well if you have it. Talk to your doctor about it, both of you, for it would be much easier if you both quit at the same time and be each others support as well as the support from Chantix.

I wish you all the luck in the world. Smoking is such a nasty habit and for the life of me I wish I could stop too. Best of luck to you.

Thanks, fn187zbabe. If you have insurance, see if they will cover Chantix if it's available where you live. My sis-in-law was on a different type of pill and she quit for a while but she either didn't have the support behind her or she didn't bother seeking it out cause she started right back up again.
