Are you a poster or a responder?

I have noticed that there are lots of people on here today who have a great amount of posts. I have been on here and have posted a few and no responses or it gets pushed down by the other posters of the day. I love to post discussions as well as answer them. I like helping people out with daily situations and frustrations of life. I enjoy the responses I receive from people when I am going through a tough time or situation. I love it when you read on here where people just give out thanks to mylot for being present and alive. I don't know what I would do if mylot wasn't here. I have been single for almost a year and in my toughest of times, I still had mylot. This is an awsome place. I wonder on a daily basis, how many people actually dedicate their day to posts, and who would rather respond to these great discussions that our mylot family has. I cherish the fact that people can gather together and give insite on different subjects each day. I personally like that we can meet new people. I sometimes take certain days and post discussions when we are very busy on here. Other days that we are slow, I try to just respond or catch up on responding to my own discussions. It really evens itself out. Quality posts, get quality responses. Hopefully this one will help out some of the newer memebers of mylot as well as some of the old. I hope that this discussion is quality information for you as well as it is for me.

I'm a responder. I've noticed that I make a lot more when I respond to discussions as opposed to making them, since when I make them I have to rely too much on others. You don't make much (if anything) from a discussion with no or very little replies - so I try not to waste too much time making a ton of discussions to only have my earnings depend on how many people reply to it. There are some who get pages and pages of replies, so if I were one of those, I would be more of a poster since I'm sure that might bring in a lot of cents. But since I only bring in about 2 or 3 pages if I get lucky, I just stick to responding. It's my way of controlling my earnings and working according to how much I want to earn. :)

I can accept that. I feel the same way. But I didn't know how you Really earn on mylot. It's always a mystery to me. I wonder. But I love to respond to discussions. Especially if I have a great insite. I sometimes have things that bother me in my life and like I have said before this is my therapy.

I like to do both post and respond. Some days I have some ideas so I will post those days. Most days though I just look at what others post and respond to the threads that I like. I have it set so that I get an email when someone responds either to my posts or my responses, and I will come back to a post and make a re-response when something good is brought up.

That is usually how I post my discussions, based on my day. I want to know more somedays, so I ask more. If I am going through, I post as well. I have learned that people repeat so much but you really can't control that. I think of this place as EOE!!!

I am more of a responder. I see so many good discussions and I just feel the need to respond more than I like to post. I like my discussions to be unique and I see so many of the ideas I have for discusisons used over and over. Responding gives me the chance to learn new things and express my opinion. I do post, but it's rare and it is usually something that has been on my mind for a while or struck me as interesting.:)

Well, as I've said in various posts with similar topics, I guess I am more of a responder rather than one to post my own discussions. There are days when I wouldn't even have a single discussion posted but have responded to lots of discussions.

I love to post discussions and to respond as well. I love reading other people's discussion because i learn a lot from them, some makes me laugh, some touches my heart, some teaches me things i dont know. I love the way people talk, i see less mean words, more of sharing ones thought with each other. :) thats really nice.

I am more of a responder, it's a win-win situation for me. Not like starting a discussion, there's a 50/50 chance of getting some responses. And if there are/would, you'll just get disappointed because you received a few and that most of them are not that impressive as what we expect it should turn out to be. So if ever I would start my own discussion, I make sure first that it is of good quality, enjoyable to read and can be attractive for the responder at the same time.

This is a very good post..I like to do both, but I do like to respond more..I like to help others. There are alot of nice people on mylot..I like to read all the different responses because it helps me to think of other things and it gives me a new perspective on stuff..All the different opinions are wonderful..People aren't telling you what you want to hear but giving you an objective point of view...This way we can take it or leave it..Thank you for this discussion...

I'm more of a responder than a poster. I like replying to others discussions and then if I've something to share or ask for an opinion then I post a discussion!

In the beginning I just posted but then no one hardly ever responded to my posts. So I decided to start responding to other peoples posts instead. Just because I want to get in on the conversation. Not talk to myself. lol.
