Has any one else out there had a hysterectomy?

I know this is kinda off topic but has anyone had a hysterectomy where they kept the ovaries in? I keep getting these hot flashes...is that normal? They said I wouldn't go into menopause but it sounds like it. (My husband also says the bed is wet from me sweating so much.) Any thoughts??

I have had a hysterectomy 24 years ago, but mine was a complete one.Everything was removed both overies, tubes and all. I take hormone pills everyday. I too get hot flashes at times, but not like you are talking about.It sounds to me like you made need some sort of medication. I had hot flashs like this before I was on medication. Maybe the overies have gone bad, this happens sometimes.It does sound to me like you are going through menopause too.

Thank You for best response. Good luck with your doctor's appointment. I hope you will find out what is causing all those miserable hot flashs's.I know how uncomfortablbe the can be..

I am 25 and just had a hysterectomy the 8th of October and it was a partial hysterectomy i still have my ovaries too..I get hot flashes also.. Weird huh?. I have sum questions i would like to ask you if you would be so kind and get back with me..Its concerning the hysterectomy...
