Help! I need some lunch ideas!

I work at a strange job where I'm out on job sites where I can't warm food up. I've spent ENTIRELY too much money on eating out since I started and I need to start bringing my lunch in a cooler with me to work. Sandwiches work fine, but get a little too boring day in and day out, so I want to experiment with some pasta salads, etc that I can package up and take with me.
Anyone have any easy, inexpensive recipes for lunches that would fare well in a small cooler for half a day and don't need to be heated?

My daughter makes the best pasta salad I've ever had, and I think it would be perfect for lunch. She uses spiral pasta, and adds sliced black olives, chopped green and red pepper, sliced green onion, cubed cheeses like Monterey jack, cheddar, or hot pepper cheese, pepperoni, and Italian or balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

That sounds almost identical to the one I make! :)
Except I use penne pasta, and only cheddar cheese. Sometimes I use canned chicken or ham for protein. It is good, isn't it? :)

We like wraps - some rice, a strip or two of chicken, some red pepper, all rolled up into a tortilla or stuffed into a pita.
I try to bake once a week so my husband can take a muffin or a square for a snack.

May I suggest a salad?
Make up your veggie salad, put your cheese in its own container, and put any meats in another separate container. Toss dressing in the cooler, throw all that together at lunch time & you have a nice, filling but light meal.
Cold cuts & grilled chicken (fried chicken strips may lose crunchiness in cooler) seem to fair best for eating later after being refrigerated.

Hi foodie, I suggests you take 'curry puff' and no need heating as it's already hot & spicy...enjoy !!!!!
