Meeting a hero...

Today was a rather special day because I met someone I have long admired and been a fan of for many years. I just started work at the local library and today I was privileged to check out the books for Vincent Bugliosi. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is the former Los Angeles prosecutor who prosecuted and put in jail Charles Manson and the murdering family members over 30 years ago. He is also the author of several best selling books including "Helter Skelter" about the Manson case and "The Sea Will Tell," which was later made into a film with Rachel Ward. He also wrote a book regarding the O.J. Simpson case and why the prosecution failed to make their case. Anyway, he was very nice and I got to have a few minutes to talk with him. I told him that I had been a law librarian for 23 years and that I had once met one of the attorneys who represented one of the Black Panthers who testified in the Manson case when I was working for a private law firm. I can't wait until he comes in again because I couldn't remember the names of the other books of his that I'd read at the time I talked to him. I was so surprised that my mind went blank. Isn't that embarassing? Anyway, I just had to share my little encounter with you guys.
