How often do you change your mobile phone/cellphone unit?

There are a lot of mobile phone/ cellphone models in the market today. And you just can't make up your mind when buying one. Worst, when you see a brand new mobile phone/cellphone, you want to buy it. Today my niece bought another brand new cellphone/mobile phone unit. How often should we change our mobile phone/ cellphone anyway?

I buy new unit of cellphone only when needed or whenever i find something fits on my taste, I save money for it so i can afford to buy it.

only if i have money.. or my dad bought me a new one.. but that rarely happens..

That's somehow the drawback of the ever-evolving technology nowadays. You just couldn't get enough of it. It's great, it's really amazing, but if you're not careful you'll become it's slave. I don't recommend changing cellphones all the time. After all, it's main purpose is to get in touch with friends or family, right? So if your mobile provides you that, then why keep on changing? I don't think it's practical (unless of course if you can afford it)
