For the pass week I’ve been having this headaches at the right side of my head, my eyes feel swollen though it does not appear that way. I tried pain killer and drank almost every 4 hours but it still there. I tried to put vicks / ointments just to ease the pain. There are a few things i was thinking about, i hope you could verify if i maybe right or wrong.... I was thinking maybe due to: 1. Lack of sleep 2. Stress from work 3. My right eye may have a problem and that i need to have to upgrade my eyeglasses and contact lens. 4. just simply a headache. What do you think? How do you handle this kind of headaches?

for me, it can be a combination of all the items you listed. better yet, ask your doctor about it to be sure. you won't be taking any medicines and steps to put you in danger in the future. you must have it addressed the earliest possible so you will know what to do next time around. get well!

I normally have a cup of strong coffee (more decoction), take a walk. If it is severe, I tie round my head, a towel, dipped in cold water. In 30 minutes I am relieved of the pain.

I get a feeling that it is a combination of all the things, each one in itself is a good prelude to a headache or even migraine. I have migraines often they usually last at least 3 days no matter what I do unless I take some special strong medication that was prescribed by the doctor. I avoid taking those though because not only they're really strong but they cost over $20 for each pill - not package. I usually try to see if it gets better with tylenol extra strength - sometimes it makes it a bit better, specially if it's only a headache. Because when I have a migraine the worse things for me are light and movement, if I can I always try to lay down in a dark room for a bit. SOmetimes it brings some relief.

If I have headaches I would like to take a walk or jog sothat my sweat will release and those toxins in my body will be out.

A few months ago I had a headache in the back of my head that felt like I took a blow from a baseball bat. It was so sensitive to the touch - it lasted for days before I went to the doctor. Of course, he said it was stress but sprayed some "freezing" solution on the back of the trigger points where it hurt the worst and then had me put ice backs there for 20 minutes every hour and take 3 advils every 4 hours. It did ease the headache pain and eventually it went away. I'm still as stressed out as before but the "freezing" technique and the ice packs combination did the trick. You should have your eyes checked out too.

I battle it off, and if it does not go away, then I take Tylenol. I try to use painkillers as a last resort.

hifriend. this type of headache is common to many people. when the head on either side of the nose get pain, there is a small remidy which is less expensive and home made. get 6 leaves of tulasi, 2 leaves of pan leaf with a little methol sqeeze these leaaves until you get few drops of the leaf juice . put the drop on the opposite nostril of pain.if you got right side then put two drops in the left nostril hole if you get pain the left side, put the drops in rightside nostril. you will get relief within 5 minutes. this is an ancestral ayurvedic method of india.

if i have a massive headache, i'll usually take some aspirin. i will also wear those medicated plasters/patches which helps to ease the pan. usually if i have a headache i would need to lie down and sleep, usually by the time i get up the pain is gone. maybe you should go and see a doctor if you keep on having headaches. take care and hope all is well! :)

Well I too get bad Migranes like you are talking about. They are mostly caused by stress, but could be tue to the other reasons that you mentioned too. I take 3 precriptions daily for them and still get them. I take a over the counter medicine, that is called B.C. Powder, it works real good and fast. You can get it at wal mart k mart or any gas station. I will have to go to a dark quit room and put a cool wet rag over my eyes.try rubbing some vinigar in your temples also.Good Luck.

I have realy bad problems with headaches, I cannot take the migrain pills cause they make me feel wird and then I sleep for several hours. So I usually take Alieve and then lay down until it goes away, unfortunately its usually the next day.
