Black or death period?

As all of you surely know in their early days Behemoth was pure black metal band. But their last albums are much more into death metal style. Which period of the band's activity you prefer more? Do you think it's natural evolution or they follow the trend? As far as I'm concerned I like they black activity as well as death albums and I think they evoluated naturally!!! I wonder what do you think?
