I have gone back to work. Do you Work outside of the Home and still MyLot also?

For my friends that do not know, I have gone back to work and have had less and less time on the computer. I work in a portrait studio and have been working many open to closes due to major under staffing. To make matters worse, the store is loosing both the manager and the assistant manager. Being that I am new, I am trying to learn as much as possible before the store manager leaves. Hence, I have had little time to log on here and have been too exhausted to think straight. ha ha So, I am sorry to my friends here for my excessive absence and I ask for your patience. While I also wonder...whom else works and still finds time to log onto myLot?

Well first of all congrats on working again, and knowing your passion for photography this sounds right up your alley...Yes, my dear, we shall be patient...LOL...I'm doing a lot more myself...my bears, writing articles, so even though I'm in front of the computer a lot, I'm not here as much as I used to be either--in fact I was so inspired by that Charley a special cat video, of which I did a discussion on, that I zoomed off to Associated Content to write an article...Don't ask how far behind now though I am with all the stuff here...So folks have to be patient with me too. Again congrats..hey are they going to make you a manager there soon?? That would really be great.

Hopefully you get an article published. :) As for management...that is the thought. But I need to get the hang of things in the studio first. I am so used to taking what photos inspire me. Now, I have to take portraits quickly. Not much time for artistic thought. ha ha

Hehe...I've gotten not one, but four articles published so far...I really have to give kudos to you though...people portraits never wowed me, which is why I never wanted to do that kind of work..but you can still be a bit "artistic" in how you do portraits.

Actually I do most of my mylot AT work. Gatta have something to keep me from going braindead & ending up working in the corperate office. I'd rather spend my home computer time playing games or something unless I'm really into a discussion like the last one I started. That was too amusing.

Me too. I am at my job now about 5 months, I work a bit of OT and it just seems like getting on here is a low priority..which is why I am making so little money. I also get aggravated when performance is slow or when I can't find a new question to answer. I see questions coming up that I answered months ago and I hate wasting my time answering them again.

I completely understand what you mean about being too exhausted to think straight. I don't know if you remember this but I started going back to school last spring and work a part time job. I was away for a few months, then tried to come back and had a hard time but now I'm going to make an absolute point to check in here on a regular basis. I learned that I really, really missed this site. It kind of gives me a little something to look forward to kind of like a little stress relief. When you get used to the job and get everything figured out we will still be here when you get back and be happy to hear from you!!)

I know it makes it hard to log on to mylot when you are working. I work a part time job. And when im working its very hard for me to get on. Im lucky to be on here for half an hour when im working. But right now im on maternity leave. So right now i have plenty of time to get on mylot until the baby comes.

I can understand.I have a couple of businesses which don't need my presence always.I chose them that way.So I find enough time to mylot. We don't mind your short absences as long as you are here atleast.

Unfortunately I am not currently working, so I do at least have extra time to be on Mylot, however I haven't had the internet at home since July, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. Once I get back to work my time on Mylot will be limited, but I hate missing my friends and not being able to respond to their discussions as when I want to.

Hey, congrats on your new job! Working is good as an income is good. :) I'm actually looking for work right now, so I definitely hope to work outside the home. I don't think I'd be able to make a full-time income off of myLot - though if it was possible, I just might try! :) How are you finding working outside the home? It sounds like you've been thrown into quite the crazy situation!

Wow! This discussion is old. Wonder how I missed it? How are you doing on your new job? Do you enjoy it? I think a lot of people log on while they are at work. They must not have a very busy job though.

Unfortunately, I have changed jobs because I could not get along with the management. I left on good terms though. :) I am now working just while the kids are at school. And I don't have the privledge of loggin on while at work either. I would have to agree with you...if people log on at work, they must not be very busy. I wonder if they are hiring. ha ha

Many of us go to their work. They give full atention to their work, and whenever they get chance to boot the computer they come here to meet the friend on mylot. Mylotters talk to their friends. They start and response the discussion. This looks very nice, Just as a creative game. I also go to my work. But I seek time to get in the mylot community and enjoy here exchange of my thinkings with my friends and I think it will be a dificult day when I will not be able to join the mylot.

Don't worry, you're not the only one that doesn't have time to do mylot. I'm trying to fit some of my time for mylot. Ever since I started my tutoring business I haven't had time for mylot. But, I'm trying to find time now since I've hired a teacher to help. Hope I can get started on a regular basis. Good luck to you.

I have less time at the computer since I started working in May. Wow, has it been that long? I am tired when I get home. What little time I spend on here is divied up between Gather, MyLot and email. I prefer being outdoors and enjoying the summer weather though. Congratulations on your job. Time brings balance. Huggers to you.

I do know what you are going through brokentia, I left my old job and moved to another place in my country, in order to start and study and looked for a 4 hour job each day. But two months later, they asked me to start and working full time 9 hour a day and they promised a good celery and good terms, so i took it. And now i am spending between my studies and work a very little time at home, and it is clear that there is no social life for me because of the many hours i spend there, so do not really have time to mylot, i mylot about 20 minutes four times a week, and i do miss it alote. But also enjoy other things that i do, so i guess life is a compromise, you can not do everything like you want:)

I also work. As you can tell by my profile, I don't spend much time here. I haven't made payout once! I can relate to the exhaustion issue. I have to drive 4 hours round-trip every day. So I get home in time to cook, see my husband for awhile, take a shower and go to bed. Do you at least LIKE the job? I hope so. It sucks working hours like that and not liking it. I hope your family is well and your hours get straight soon. :)

I log on more often to mylot WHILE at work. I work away from home for a public library system. In between work stuff I get on and answer stuff. I always only work till 4... (8 hour days) and I'm single with no kids so I have the extra time at night and on weekends when I have no other obligations and plenty of free time to get on mylot.

I work a part time job. I am only working about 20 hours a week though so that leaves me plenty of time for internet. I do not stay exclusively on My Lot though. There are several money making sites I log on to. My part time job just barely covers all of my bills so all the things I do online to earn money is my leisure shopping money. lol.
