Hope someone can help me. My son spilt tomato pasta sauce on his White 100% pure cotton top from Cotton On. It's like a nice T-shirt material - slightly ribbed. I sprayed Oxy Action Pre Wash spray on it and left it overnight. The tomato sauce stain has disappeared but the pre wash spray has left a yellowish stain, which didn't come off with washing. Now there's a yellow splotch the size of a saucer in front and back of the Tshirt. Any ideas how to get rid of it? Instructions say "Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry."Dare I risk some nappy/diaper soaking solution?Hope someone out there can help me.

I would try dish washer powder. If that did not work I would use bleach. It is ruined if you don't get the stain out so if bleach hurts it you won't be out anything.

Thanks for the suggestion. DO I make a paste with it? Sorry to sound stupid but have never had this happen before. I don't wear a lot of white!

Does anyone else have any ideas? I'm not sure how to use dishwasher powder to clean this stain.

Peroxide with lemon or grapefruit juice cut with water is supposed to be a natural belach brightener. I like to keep one of those Stain Sticks around it comes in a green container, you put it on the stain and you can leave it for up to a week b4 you wash, it works really well, but it has to be fresh and not have been washed. Sometimes I undress my daughter and forget to use it, the wash and find the stain, bummer!
