Has Anything Been Done To Punish Menu Food and The Death Of Pets?

The pet food recalls that was so famously noticed beginning of March of this year seems to have disappeared from our interests...but I have not forgotten. No..thank God I did not suffer the tragic death of my two cats due to this poisoned food many pet food owners did in all innocence give to their pets. But what I like to know...what has happened? Have pet owners sued Menu Foods, and if they did, did they get anything out of it? No, they can't get their beloved pet back but I think some serious accounting for their "crime" as I see it, should be made by Menu Foods. This company knew about the poison that was in their pet food, especially the famous company Iams...who did tests upon tests of "lab" animals for the detrimental effects their food had, and YET, they still sold their product to unknowing "victims" --pets and the pet owners who had bought these foods in good faith that they were giving their pets the best food money could buy. I suppose I bring this issue up again up again after seeing very, very disturbing and heart-breaking videos on YouTube. These videos are by no means for the squimish...and the only reason I did watch, because I wanted to see first hand, just what all pets who had died and must have gone through due to the poison that Menu foods and Iams knowingly caused so many wonderful pets. While these aren't pleasant videos to watch..I do want you to watch them nonetheless, and feel the same outrage I felt...outrage for such needless pain and death of such innocent creatures....our beloved pets. The first is less horrific, and will bring a tear to your eye, nonetheless...the last isn't so pleasant to watch and must have a strong stomach to see this, but I feel it has to be watched. Again how has Menu Foods and Iams compensated for this tragedy. http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=hNXL-Ng4JZw http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=zZbsFCaRffc http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vtq2-Cy0uY This is the most difficult to watch...but watch and feel the outrage I felt by it http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=lGt7HkzNC68

I can not watch those videos, but as you remember I am very much into the topic. One thing we can do is start website and connect all of those people, because they can start class action against the company. They can also start individual claim and many lawyers will take the case with 0 down... I would sue the ba$tards...they are criminals...

I think something should happen, but I have not heard anything either. I do think they should be held accountable. It is sad what the animals went through and they should pay for it.

Yes the whole story has been tucked aside and forgotten by most...I just hope something like this doesn't happen again

I was afraid to look at the videos as I get so upset over any type of animal suffering. However I also feel that the media should give some information on what have been the results of these cases.

Well it's the very last video that is the real "winner"--I didn't want to watch the videos either, but for some reason I did as it made it more real to me...there were so many discussions here and on other forums about the recall, but unless you actually see the reality of it, it really doesn't hit home how pets and people suffered as a result of this

I think that what we are witnessing, pyewacket, is the wheels of big business turning as usual. Sadly, these large corporations can get away with practically anything and never be held responsible. That first video was right: They have the money and the power to make the little person go away. These companies should be held responsible. If they won't do it on their own, then the government should step in and make them do the right thing.

Yes think of all the lawyers that represent these companies to get them out of this situation--and yes the government should step in, but then, our gov't doesn't do much in reality in situations like this.
