Rappers as Actors

A lot of hip hop artist/ rappers are used in movies these days...do you think their crossing over into films has been a positive move or do you think most of them are poor in the acting dept.? Discuss the good and the bad.

i think there has been a lot of acting talent that has come out of the rap scene...but i also think that before the rest of the world takes them seriously, they should be put into more diverse roles... the movie "Belly" for instance is a great movie featuring greats like Nas, DMX, T-Boz and maybe a few others...

I responded to this comment once..and now come back and find that on some topics my own comments to others are disappearing from topics I started..hmmmmm.. Belly = good other DMX movies not so great and any movie where Stevan Segal is trying to be cool by getting a rapper to star with him is stupid

yes its a +ve move , we can get the touch of raps in movies tooooooo so more fun

some ot them over act ,and some are not talented in the acting they are forcing it on themselves because of the money ,so let advice them on how to act.
