How to tell if something is real, or just a SCAM?

I mean, I have had plenty of scams in my life. And it seems, as far as my responses to my last post, that everything that comes my way is just a scam. Why does this always happen to me? When is something going to be real? I just want to have a REAL money making opportunity to come my way, and not no PTC, PTR, PTS, or any other menial money making opportunities. I'd like to have something real to happen. How do you make good money online, or are you always scammed as well? Tell all!

Hahhahahahahah! Dude, don;t feel to special, you're not the only one who come across scams :)) And real money online can be made... well, they can't. Real money are those for which you work hard. So... if you have to work hard for them, they're real. If not... no. ;) All the best.

I used to join those "quick" money-making sites and those were really scams!!!! Man, I remember this one called pro-builder plus, where I am supposed to gather more people to join and slowly, we will earn more commission thru increasing memberships, whatever it is, it is a SCAM. Cos a lot of members under my dad's wing and mine seems to decrease overtime! I really wonder where they go, and for many months we got zero income. Damn. And surveys, people say they will pay u for it, I got zero as well. All I learn is that I have to depend on myself. So I joined this internet marketing seminar and learn to create and market my website. There is mentoring provided, so it is a great help. At least there is someone to answer my doubts and questions. Now, I am selling this mentor's DVD guide, although I am starting slow, at least I know it is for real, not just another scam. So it is a comforting thing. But to think that I wasted so much time on the previous ones, it is really infuriating!!! Regards, Adrienne http://www.e-marketinghub.com http://www.e-marketing-systems.com

Not everything is a scam, probably the best way to make some money is by doing survies, there are several different types, some pay you several dollars for each one you do, others give you points which you can convert into money or vouchers and some give you an entry into a draw. I've done all three, and have won several draws, the most I've won is $500 which I was able to convert into around £350, I've also won £100 and several of £20-£50. Most surveys take around 15-30 minutes to complete, also some survey companies give you items to test as well, one I do regular give me £4 Luncheon Vouchers (for around 15 minutes) and regularly sends me new items for testing (I also get a $4 voucher for feedback on the items tested). Remember though if something looks too good to be true then it probably is. Some of the survey companies are invitation only.

I am also scammed several times. Worst part is I lost my money. Now, I feel that I can recognize the scam sites nicely with all my experience. Anybody in this Money making field does get scammed during the initial days no matter what. People however careful they are, tends to get scammed and lose money. But, only with experience, you can survive in this field. I am now very careful.

I would pass this one by. Definitely don't give them any personal info about yourself. Anything that sounds too good to be true, is. Nuff Said. No-one in this world is just going to hand you something. Even if it seems like you would be doing something good. Believe it or not, one of the most prevalent forms of fraud is done via a TTY line for the hearing impaired. You assume that some one is disabled or has altruistic intentions that it can't be fraud or else they woudln't be they wouldn't be doing it. You'd be wrong. Fraud happens when people take advantage of our emotions. If you really want to help out abused women or negelcted children, volunteer at a shelter. Don't get involved with any internet money distribution scheme. Just my two cents.

I think that it is kind of hard to distinguish as in to what is scam and what is not.....i think that we should not pay the sites as then there are more chances of getting scammed as already one person has raised this point...another way to distinguish scam can possibly achieved by looking at the members, contacting them and asking them....for instance, if on a site, you can see alot of memeberz and contact them easily, then the site is trustworthy, but if you cannot see the members and you have no one to ask for opinion, then it probably is scam....

The best way to check whether something is scam or not is to try it. There is one alternative method though. Try your search in http://answers.yahoo.com/ That often gives a lot of result with people who have experienced that particular thing. Good luck

I am afraid to say that it is very difficult to make money on line, and probably, unless you are the one who is setting up the scam, nearly impossible. If there were such an opportunity, 1 person would rush to tell it to 5 of his best friends, who would then do the same ofr other 5 and so on, to the point where the opportunity is no longer there.

Simple enough... if it's sounds too easy (in a too good to be true kind of way)... it's a SCAM

1. Well, I'm not sure what you mean by REAL money. Do you mean, like more than $5000 or $6000? If so, then I'd suggest maybe starting some time of online business. 2. I know Avon now lets their representatives work online. Like, they have their own web pages, and they sell Avon that way. But there's a $10 start-up fee. 3. I know a lot of people make about $1000/month on GPT sites. They buy Visa gift cards, and complete offers where you have to sign up for a trial. Well, for example, they'll sign up for a $5 trial using their gift card, and the GPT site pays them $20 for completing the offer. Well, they cancel the trial and KEEP the $5 AND the $20. It's pretty cool. It won't make you filthy rich, but it's still pretty cool.

I've been scammed too. Rarely did I ever pay anyone to join but a few times I fell into that trap and nothing good came out of it. I did think about joining Ameriplan. Again, you have to sign up and there is a monthly fee involved but I've spoken to a few people who are with Ameriplan and say they do well. I guess they can really say anything they want - how the hell would I know if they were telling the truth. I'm not looking to get rich or anything - just earn some extra money for my family. Did you ever look into Ameriplan?
