What would you say is the best and worst thing about where you live.

If someone asked you why they should visit where ever you live what would you say to pursuade them, what is the best thing about where you live. Also if you had to be honest what would you say is the worst thing about where you live. I live in wales in the UK. I would say that the best thing about the uk is the fact it is fairly diverse in people, lots of different cultures, religions, races and for the most part they all live happily together and standard of living here is good in camparison to other countries. The worst would be the weather. P.s sorry if my answers are a bit naff but its harder than i thought it would be.

The USA is still the land of total freedom. We can say anything we want, and have great opportunities to do what we want. But, the bad thing is that it costs so much money to survive, the health system is terrible, and the criminal laws are not strict enough.

I would say the friendliness of the Melbourne people is good and we have the best mixture of restaurants and cafe's I think you could find any type of restaurant you could ever want, Melbourne also is one of the best places for the ladies to go shopping, spend spend spend then there is the Australian Rules Football and the layout of Melbourne is so easy to find your way around with trams all heading and linking up towards the main City area... Come to Melbourne....

I'm from Cavite, here in the Philippines. This province was known as one of the key places during the spanish colonial period, this is where our national flag was first raised. We also have lots of national heroes that came from this place, the first president of the republic and some of the best tourist spots. Since this place is historical, it also had some sides too. This is also the location where one of our feracious national hero was executed, killed by fellow filipinos that are jealous of his becoming popular despite his lack of formal education during that time.

i would say the best thing about the city taht i live in is that it's clean and safe. i don't have to worry about my bag being snatched or people harming me after dark. the worst thing is that everything is socially engineered and there is less room for creativity and people to take the less beaten path. everyone is expected to thrive in a certain way, and those who are good in other things (like music and art) but not so good in traditional tings (like engineering and business) are left by the wayside.

We live in South Central Manitoba. Originally my hubby and I were from Winnipeg that is often refereed to as 'WinterPeg' because of the the long, cold winters we experience. So I guess that is probably the worst part of where we live. Having said that winter does have its own charm, especially around Christmas time. A roaring fire, hot chocolate, snow gently falling outside, twinkling lights inside and out...very Norman Rockwell indeed! We moved from the larger city to a small town with under 1,000 people and now I have a lot to say about what is good about living here. The town is safe, friendly and nestled in rolling hills. Nature sites abound and we have a lake about 15 minutes from where we live where we can hike, swim and go canoing. What I also love about living in Manitoba are our fabulously long summer days...16 hours of daylight. So that more than makes up for the cold, darker days of winter. I also love our four distinct seasons...nothing like Spring after a cold winter. Then Fall is spectacular with the show it puts on. We also have universal health care and living in a small town our taxes are lower than in large centers. So oveall there are a lot of great things to celebrate living where we do.

I live in Orlando and would have to say that having the theme parks so close to my home is one of the best things. I don't have to drive far to find something fun to do. The worst thing about living in Orlando is that the people here aren't all that friendly. People have this idea (thanks to Disney) that people in Orlando are happy, smiley people. Truth is that most of the people are miserable here because of the weather and traffic.

Hi LittleMissh, One of my points will be the same as yours - the weather in The Netherlands is not what you call great, and this summer - it cannot be called summer at all. Other than that, the good points will be, great many places to visit Van Gogh's museum in Amsterdam, a city worth visiting other than Amsterdam will be Maastricht, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Delft, too many to mention really, but the country is more than worth visiting. Just like in the UK, there are many different cultures and religions with different type of lifestyles too.
