I was amazed when I got to this site about FDA recalls some of the recalls I haven't even heard about being recalled. It is a site I will keep bookmarked so I can keep a eye out for anymore recalls that I missed being recalled..breads,gingers,contact lens solution, a biggy if you use it..So here is the link so you can find out for yourself all the things they are recalling and for what reasons keep your family safe from these recalls..what next tissues? http://www.fda.gov/opacom/7alerts.html I hope these will be helpful to you in keeping your family safe. Don't forget to bookmark the page so you can keep track of any new recall as they happen.

The part about ginger is very scary. I got some ginger I bought a year ago frozen in my freezer. I was wondering whether ginger can be grown in the United States? Or is it only grown in China? I live in Canada and we have our own regulations but wonder whether these warnings apply to us.

Ginger is cultivated in China,India,South east asia,West Africa, and the Caribbean that is what I just read anyhow that is what took so long to get back to you. I don't know if ginger can be grown in the United States or not but if it can be it would have to be some of the warmer states possibly weather like the other places it is cultivated. They recalled the ginger because it had Aldicarb sulfoxide on it that is not approved to be for use on ginger. for more info on it the recall of ginger go here it will tell you more. I would throw out the ginger if you know it is from China for sure.. better safe then sorry. http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/cdph207_07.html hope this helps.

Thank you very much for this informative post. I bookmarked it and will read it in more depth tomorrow. This is such a good example of caring people sharing important things to keep each other informed. It does make one wonder where our food chain is going and how many other ways it will be impacted in less than positive ways. Having this site as reference will be very useful in the Buyer Beware world we are now living in.

I don't think we have seen the last of the recalls, Maybe hey should call it the recall war..It is hurting america and hurting the import business that the USA does with China. I am going to keep an eye on the recall list every other day or so. What next posion laced tissues? Seem like alot of stuff is being recalled lately from so many different problems I am just glad they catch up with most of it so it won't harm to many people before they do something about it. Well, thanks for the response I appreciate it alot..so if yo find anymore recalls before me let me know about them..cause your right keeping other informed is what saves us.

Thanks for the response I appreciate it I thought you would be interested because in another post you made you said you eat wheat breads. Take care, going to be where you cannot eat anything unless you grow it yourself and rely only on what you yourself makes. Like playing russian roulette with foods. This is damaging the import business we have with the other countries..it will keep inspectors on their toes and bustling.

Good grief! I guess the FDA didn't find these recalls to have affected as many people as the others ones recently. Why else would I just be hearing about these? Thanks for the information, it is extrememly valuable.

It kinda shocked me because I didn't hear about half these recalls at all. And thankfully I heard about the green bean recall and was trying to get mnore info about it when I ran accross the others.. scary stuff especially if you think they didn't care enough to broadcast the other recalls enough..people need to know these recalls that is what saves lives. Knowledge is living. thanks for the response AmbiePam I appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing. I have bookmarked this site. I agree it is one that should be bookmarked and looked at on a regular basis. News media shares some, but don't tend to share everything. And then I don't always catch the news either.
