I am of Indian origin but born and raised in the UK. I love to visit India once a year for a holiday and spend 2-3 weeks there at my parents holiday flat. I could not stay there permanently as I would not be able to handle the heat. I can't even handle the summers here when the temperatures reach 30 or so degrees! I have to admit that I am not keen on the fact that there is so much corruption in government and the legal system out there. Police can easily be bought and I would not feel safe in a country where the police can be bribed so easily. In the UK I have never felt scared of the police as I know that 99% of them are doing the job they're supposed to do. Even from watching Hindi films and talking to my relatives who live in India I do not get a good impression of politicians and the police. Until corruption is removed India would not be a place that I could call great. The people of India are hard workers in general and with good kind hearts with an excellent sense of hospitality to guests and visitors to the country. They deserve better from the legal and political system :)

Yes you are true that there is lot of corruption. Here the politicians are not good. YOu can easily buy them. BUt it is only the one side of the coin. AS you rightly mentioned the other side of the coin also. We the Indians are hard worker. We treat our guests equal to the God and there are number of other things we can proud of. Thankx for your views and hoping like you other also 'll let me know their views about INDIA. Thankx once again.

Your country is one of the most cultural countries in the world. You have the greatest building and it's also one of the seven wonders in the world. I like your music because it sounds nice. Do you know that your country is also the one who creates the most movies in the world every year?:) The food is very nice, too. I think we are neighbors, as I am from China:) I respect and appreciate your culture and custom.

Unfortually I know very little about India, just from news which I think doesn't show any country in a good light!! I'm from England and grew up with people who immigrated from India in the 1950s and 60s. I was always amazed by their work ethic. My Father tells a story of one guy he worked with. This guy had a university degree from India but the only job he got was sweeping the factory floor for minimum wages. My Dad said this man came to work everyday and never complained, he worked hard and saved his money. He now owns 3 shops and has been able to put his children through university in England. If more people had this attitude then the world economy would be much better! I hope one day to visit India. The only thing that would worry me is the heat!! Take care.
