You may be having a bank account.Let all income come in to this account first. Please make a budget for your monthly expenses. This should not be changed not more than 10% even if there is urgent requirement.every three months what ever balance in your account should be transferred to a fixed/term deposit for three years. I hope this will help you a little.

i think the most important thing to save is learn to have a habit of saving. after what you have bought, keep an account book, always note down specificly. and draw a conclusion of what you needn't buy, what you have bought too much, save it and remember it. i believe this really helps a lot.

Account book? That's a good suggestion. Might as well use excel eh?

Write down everything ... EVERYTHING...you buy in one week. THen look at the list and decide on the things you didn't really need to buy. Like that coffee at starbucks or that dress you saw in the window. If you start small you will be able to save more in the long run.

Thanks for posting. I agree with you. I noticed when I go shopping, I bought things that I don't really need. Do you think it would be wise for me not to bring my credit card or lots of cash when I go window shopping?

Hi jhanna! :) First of all, you write down how much is your income. On the other side, write down all of your FIXED expenses, such as electricity, house rent (if your rent), light and phone. Then subtract it from your income. Then, whatever is the Net Amount (Your income less your Fixed Expenses), SAVE a certain amount from that. For example, you want to save 500pesos every payday. SAVE it! Never use it. Then, whaterver is left (from your Income Less Fixed Expense Less Savings), that's your daily expenses. Actually, from your money alotted from your daily expense, you can still save some. :) Good luck! Take care always and God bless! \(",)_

Hi jhanna! :) You can save at least 20% of your monthly income. Discipline yourself that you should never touch whatever it is that you save. :) If you have accumulated much, then it's time to invest your money. But first things first, and that is savings.:) God bless! =)
