What do you use to wash your face?

Do you use soap or cleanser? Do you buy stuff at the pharmacy or at the cosmetic counter? What brand do you use? Do you just wash and go? Do you use a 3 step system? I've tried a little of each. I've used clinique from the cosmetic counter. I've used Neturogena from the drug store and I've used plain ivory soap at times.

well, i never wash my face with facial cleanser or any stuff from the pharmacy.. i wash my face when i take a bath with water only, i don't use soap either.. and i don't even wash my face as i wake up early in the morning.. i'm not just used to it. that's why my friends are wondering why i don't have any single pimple or rashes on my face when i don't wash my face with any cleanser or soap...

sometimes, getting pimples depends on the genes, too. i don't get pimples, too even if i don't wash my face all the time as others do. when i used to work, i get lazy to clean my face before going to bed and yet, my skin is fine and no pimples at all. usually, i only get pimples when my monthly period is up coming. then aside from such times, no pimples at all. anne

Hello mary, we have the same kind of skin, I am not troubled with pimples, and I use ponds facial scrub to wash my face. I also dont wash my face in the evening coz I am infront of the computer evryday and they say its bad to wash your face coz it affects the eyes, I just dont know if its true but its one of the excuses I make for not washing my face.

i just use mild kind of soaps when washing my face. i am not particular about any brand. i just use mild ones. mostly, i use dove bar soap or the cream bath soap. at times, i use palmolive oatmeal soap. it really depends on what is available. i also wash my face with cold water to have my pores closed. works well for me. anne

Most of the time I just use plain soap. I have tried other productions but for the price I just have not found any thing that is any better than regular soap.

I always use cleaning cream but I have tried soap several times.I thought both of them are good as long as they can make your face clean. Its particular important in summer cause our skins tend to be oily.I dont care the brand of facial foam cause it only stays in your face for less than 5 minutes. And I would try different brands.

When I had my beard I got used to washing my face in the shower with shampoo. I use Fructis by Garnier. Sometimes I use Pantene Pro-V. Even without the beard I still use the shampoo to wash my face.

neutrogena works best for me. everything from cleanser, moisturizer, anti UV and night cream or eye cream. these days I've been too busy I forgot to buy cleanser so I keep using regular body wash. doesn't damage my skin but still doesn't feel as good

neutrogena facial soap, followed by astringent and then a nice, non-oily facial moisturizer. Those 3 things once a day, everyday (at night, usually). In the mornings I just use the facial soap.

I use a hypoallergenic soap as my face have the tendency to break out. I sometimes get allergies from my shampoo or hair conditioner. I am definitely allergic to tea tree oil soap though. Hypoallergenic soap is good, it does well for my face. Sometimes when I get some pimples, I put on benzoyl peroxide. It dries up the pimples fast.

Once you know where you get allergies from, you can totally avoid it, and play it safe. I get to use products that is organic or mild or hypoallergenic. I can never go wrong with these. Oh thanks, I'm glad you like it(-:

Thanks for your response. Allergies must be challenging to deal with. I love your avatar, by the way. :-)

Years ago I worked for Shisado and liked their products. When I left I started using some supposedly 'lower end' cleansing products and creams and really didn't notice much difference. Now I try and buy a variety of products at the pharmacy and usually wash, use a toner and add face cream at night. Daytime I just wash with water and apply day cream. Soap is not something I use very often as my skin can feel dry...especially during our long winter months out here.

Hi, you seem to have tried everything but didnt mention as to what suited you the best, did any of the work well for you? Well for me, i dont use anything on my face, as any kind of soap or lotion or cream , everything seems to have some form of chemicals in them, and face is the last place that i would like to try it on, as i have avery sensitive skin and i prefer, using home based things that we can easily get from our kitchen counters, what our grannys used to use, as i have seen my grannys flawless skin, and i know that what they used to use, were things in their pure and natural state, like use the fruit pulps for face packs, or grounded chowker or lentils making a paste with cream or milk for cleansers etc.

Hi, nice to know that you are using these things and are finding them comfortable too. I have never tried all these frankly, as whatever i do seem to use on my face, starts giving me small pimples or an unclear skin, guess from the beginning i have been not using anything, but i am happy with my home remedies. :)

My daughter and I have been using Proactive Solution for about a year. Our breakouts are way less, and I don't have half used bottles of cleansers everywhere! We use a 3 step system. I've tried and spent so much money on different products. Proactive is a little expensive, but I'm not wasting money, because it works!

My daughter tried that. It didn't work as well as she had hoped. I'm not sure if it was the product or just the fact that she wasn't sticking with it.

Just had to answer to this discussion. I use soap and plenty of it. I prefer to use a soap that has aloe in it.

I use Cetaphil when I wash my face in the morning but at night I use Garnier anti-imperfection facial scrub to exfoliate and lift up the dry skin on my face. Both products are available at the leading department stores here in the Philippines so I don't really have any problem purchasing them.

Well, I am not very particular with the soap I use on my face. Usually I just use bathroom soap. My wife uses Ivory, and there are times that I use it too. But most of the time, I just use any bathroom soap.
