I am going to the store in a bit and want to buy a honeydew melon. How can I tell which one is ripe and ready to eat?

Just smell it,roll it around in your hands to see if there is any soft spots,then lightly knock on it.If it smells good,no soft spots and sounds hollow inside "voila" its a keeper.
