I was thinking about getting a snake once, but Im not sure I could watch it eat mice, dead or alive... I dont mind reptiles, they are kinda scary looking, but it would be cool to have an Iguana as a pet or something y'know? I saw someone walking one once, it was such a beautiful color! What about you, would you ever have a reptile as a pet? Have you already owned a repltile?

I've had small lizards as pets, and turtles and frogs, as well as cats, dogs, gerbils, and even a horse for awhile. The only problem with the lizards is that they were fast little buggers, and would get out of their homes and then get lost in the house, only to be found months later, fried behind a radiator (I grew up in a cold, cold city, Chicago). I like most reptiles, except I'm not too fond of frogs, for some reason. Maybe it's cause I read a really, really creepy Stephen King short story once, about a small town in Maine (of course) where, once every 50 or 100 years (I can't remember the exact time interval right now) or so, it rained frogs. Meat eating frogs. With fangs. That ate people. yuck

i would more likely prefer an amphibian than a reptile becoz they are much gentler and most of them dont have teeth especially frogs. i love frogs but i hate toads they are nasty

I like reptiles very much, but as others have pointed out, I couldn't feed it baby mice or rats. That's out of the question. We have a family of blue-tongue lizards who live under our pond, and I love seeing them out sunning themselves on the rocks when they come out of hibernation.
