kidney disease and dyalsis

My mother is a dyalsis patient with end stage kidney disease. She's also a diabetic. I'm not a diabetic nor do I have kidney disease. I do have polycystic ovarian disease. Does anyone know if there is any medical evidence to link the two diseases? All help is welcome.
