Omaha Zoo - Great Vaction Stop

If you are traveling in Nebraska, I highly recommend that you visit the Omaha Zoo. Allow most of the day for this stop: it took us several hours and we did not see all the exhibits. If you would like to rest your feet, try the train ride through a portion of the park. Make sure you have cash since credit or debit cards were not accepted at the train depot. In addition to a wide array of animals, there is a beautiful garden to stroll through. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes - you will be walking, and despite it's location, the summer is hot! If you are visiting in the Fall or Winter, check the hours prior to leaving for the zoo. There were cautions that exhibits would be closed during some portions of the winter due to the animals' inability to withstand the frigid temperatures.
