Tell me something about your posting habit at mylot.Do you post long discussions or short discussions. Here am asking about starting discussions, responding discussions and commenting discussions.I was posting short discussions when i started posting at mylot and now made a habit posting long discussions of atleast 5 to 6 lines.I think it helps to increase my earnings.Ofcourse it should be quality one. What about you?Do share? Smiles...

It all depends on the topic though but i usuall post 5-6 lines atleast or that much words in lesser lines, without that much length the topic isn't explained completely. It improves the quality of the topic as well and the readers then know that you have some knowledge about the topic yourself too. I even go farther that just 5-6 lines if the topic demands keeping in mind the readers interest by making paragraphs and spacing between lines. So it has worked fine for me as i've got good rating of 9 and it goes to 10 as well at times.

See my rating shot up to 10 once again. It good that you make quality posts and i can see that your 10 rating justifies that like mine. So keep going the way you have been so far and i will reply to as much of your quality discussions as i can.

Hello harsh and mymy, its nice to answer this cool discussion. I am also like harsh, it depeneds on my mood and also the topic that I am participating in. Though I always make it a point to have quality posts but its not always the same evryday, sometimes im too lazy to have long quality posts.

I average a minimum of 6 six lines per discussion. Sometimes a lot more. Yes, I like to include a as much as possible to allow other's room to comment and to have a better chance of receiving a variety of replies. So everyone is not typing the same thing over and over.

I have a habit of posting both short and long discussions equally. I think it really depends on the subject matter for me. It's easy to start getting longer discussions after a while though. You kinda get used to the way MyLot works and how people respond.

Ofcourse, as you, i too give preference to the quality and quantity while starting new discussions. You must be knowing that well since you've responded to some of my discussions. Also i make sure that my discussions have something for the people to respond to, not just one word or a line. So, i ask multiple questions sometimes, there by giving room for them to give lengthy and quality responses. Even while responding to the discussions, i always prefer to answer those questions where i've something useful to add to. Atleast a few lines, say 4-5. I don't like suggesting names for the cats and dogs, wishing people on their birthdays(through discussions), telling people what coloured undies i'm wearing today and whether i like pepsi or coca-cola. At the end of the day, i have to be satisfied with my contribution, and as should be the discussion starter. That's my motto. Hope this answer of mine is satisfactory to you. *SMILES*

I'd like short discussion, it's quick thinking, and easy to respond. For long discussions, I need time to think and respond. And I'm vary lazy about that. Somebody is very good about respond long discussions. They always have ideas and words to respond rite away.

I think it depends upon the topic your posting and vice-versa upon the reply you are responding to,according to me eventually what matters is that discussion should be reasonable enough to justify the reader and should make sense taken into consideration that it has already taken care of its quality.

I almost always start long discussions. I'm sure that hurts me in terms of getting responses, but if I start a discussion, it's always because I have something on my mind that I want to talk to my friends about. So my friends come to my discussion (and I love them all for taking the time to read my rambles) and other people if they are interested enough in the topic also come and respond, and it doesn't matter to me if I get fewer responses than I could have gotten had I kept it shorter. =P

One liners are no-no here, so I do not post one liners though one liners are so much easy to post. The discussions are post are few liners though some may consider it long. When I post discussion, it is more important to me that readers get to understand what I am trying to discuss. So I tend to explain and quote examples and of course, try to cater to a wide audience.

It depends upon the subject if I post long subjects of long subjects. This topic does not take a lot of works, like some subjects might take a lot of words. The discussion I just posted on was kind of long but it was story about my son.

i usually post discussions which atleast contain 3-4 lines, but sometimes i post bigger discussions too, but mostly it is of the normal size which is 3-4 lines, i have also seen that the big discussions recieve less responses as compared to smaller discussions

It depends on the quality of the discussion, my mood at the time of my response, my schedule of that day on which I do th e posting etc. I do make both small as well as many long discussions and responses too. Most of my responses are of 3-4 lines only.

When I do post discussions (which is not so often), I usually have an idea or a topic in mind; and when I start typing, I try to make it a point to relate how I feel about the topic or situation. And therefore, I just can't limit myself to just stating one or two lines in here. Same goes with my habit in making replies. Just like what I'm doing now. I really want to get my point accross the readers.

I always try my best to respond longer. This is the main reason why I always choose the topics which I have an idea on or that interests me. Just as I don't like that people give me short responses in my discussions, I also don't like to post short comments in anyone's discussions either. It's just that short discussions for me is like replying without thinking, or replying for the sake of replying and wasn't given any thought. But of course, there are topics which only require short responses while there are others which require longer ones. I also hate those long replies with no sense at all, all blabbering. I somehow think that, through myLot's discussions, our brains are engaged and our creativity and writing skills are enhanced. So express yourself! =) Nice topic by the way. =)

Hi mymytri! I guess, with mine it depends if the topic I am creating needs to have some explanations, then I guess it becomes a long one but not too long for it might bore the readers. With my responses to discussions created by other myLotters, usually a minimum of 3-4 lines..and with comments, it depends on the responses. The important thing is to really have quality in them (TRYING SO HARD..lol!). Have a nice day!

Hi faith!!If your discussion is of quality, definitely it will catch the eyes of readers.I think 10 lines is enough to write descriptively.I average at 5-6 lines.LOL! even am fighting hard to write qualitative and errorless discussions.

I try to post at least 4 lines of quality discussion content. I do not just try to fill up the lines but making completely off-topic remarks or comments. I make sure it is a quality post before i post it. I do not really comment on discussions but i do respond to and start my own discussions. I also have noticed that quality is better than quantity for earning here at myLot. I am not here just for the earnings but it is nice to make some money speaking to people...

I prefer to read not too long comments and postings. Once the author had said what he wanted to say, that would be enough. As long as the thought is there and the quality is good that would be okay rather than reading several lines without making a point, just running around the bush and merely playing with words. I can easily identify a good story teller.
