What color looks the worst on you?

This is a very straight forward discussion. I'd like to know what color you think looks the worst on you, and why you think that way. I doubt anyone looks horrid in a specific color, but they just may not look their best. I don't feel that green is a good color for me. It clashes with my eyes, and I think it makes me look kind of sickly. No one would run away screaming if they saw me, but it sure isn't my best color. What about you?

For me it would be the color brown. I don't see myself in that color, I don't like it.

I tried on a grey suit once and it just looked awful on me. I since decided that it was not my color, but...I have a tshirt that is grey and it is my favorite one and I think it looks good with my blue jeans. Also all white does not look good on me, but white pants with a red or black shirt looks good. Great topic!

Thanks. I always wanted to be able to understand what looked good on me and what didn't. I'm not sure if I've achieved that though!

i don't find anything looking worst on me as long as the outfit is not ill-fitted.if its tailored perfectly then any color will look good on me.i think i am that lucky and have that complexion, that every color suits on me.i have never found any color making me look worse. my friends say that even very unusual colors that nobody dares to wear looks natural on me.and i think its not the color or outfit that really matters.its our personality and the way we carry ourselves that matters.and not to forget every odd is a style.

I look absolutely horrible in peach. It somehow takes all the color out of my skin and I look like I am ill!

I haven't seen peach clothing in ages. With it being summer, I thought perhaps I'd see more of it. Well, at least you won't be tempted to buy any peach clothing since it is scarce now days. : )

Yellow and goldenrod look horrible on me. They make my skin look yellow.

...red.. bright red, is the worst color for me (or anyone?!) - I guess I just don't like bright and what I think of as 'phony' colors.. is that weird or what? I mean flowers come in all shades of bright colors, so why do clothes colored brightly seem unnatural to me? But no, the color has to be earthy.. Course my Harley t-shirts are mostly black or a bleached out sort of grey, or brown with black tie dye. Yep, it's plum, or dark olive, brown, navy or black mostly for me. Hope I don't offend anyone, but if I see someone wearing blue pants, say, with a red blouse, I do want to run away screaming!

Actually, I shudder about your last scenario. Solid blue pants with a solid red blouse technically matches, but is fashion wise, out of sync.

The only yellow looks good on me is lemon yellow and brown and orange makes me look like a sick goose. I am what they call a Winter. I am sure that if I applied a different kind of makeup all over my face and my body, then orange type tones would look good to me, but why go to that expense. There are certain colors that do not make with our skin tones, and that we should avoid. So wear what looks good on you, not what other people who have different skin tones says looks good when you know it does not. They may not run in front, but why wear something that makes you look like a sick goose when you can wear something that makes you look like a princess?

I love yellow, but it makes me look all washed out. So with jewelry, I can't wear Gold. I LOVE silver, though, so that's not a problem. I look REALLY good in silver. I also don't look good in red, which is ok, cuz I don't like red.

i would say yellow offhand, cos I'm chinese and am yellow. :) at least even skintone experts have said that I have yellow undertones in my skin. but I have friends who are rather tanned and look good in yellow. another colour that I can think of that i look not so nice in is brown. personally i like the colour cos it makes me feel all earthy and mature, but my hubbs doesn't like it cos it makes me look dowdy.

Let's just say that with my red hair, freckles and green eyes - pinks, reds and purples do me no justice! Green actually looks nice on me because it matches my eyes as well as the brown tones match my freckles. I've seen plenty of actresses on TV with red hair and they wear pinks and reds and it doesn't seem to clash with them but then again most of them are beautiful! LOL! I think it's the freckles that don't quite go with pink!!

In my opinion no color really looks bad on me. Now I have never tried neon colors and will never try them. I believe it is being comfortable in those colors that makes them look good on you or not. Example my husband wears pinks and purples. He looks very good in them if I do say so myself. Some guy look horrible in those colors because they just do not fell comfortable in them. I am sure that green does not look sickly on you, do not worry about it.

I like guys who don't mind wearing purple or pink. So many guys have that secret fear of appearing 'sissy.'

I'll wear any color regardless but I think I look washed out in pastel pink or pastel yellow. I'm a pale-skinned blonde so most pastels tend to make me look even more invisible. I like bright colors and will wear any bright color anytime.

I don't think I look good in white or yellow. Those colors usually make me look haggard and worn out, in my opinion. I like green though, and it's actually my favorite color for clothes. Every time I go to try clothes on, I get several colors of the same thing, and hold them up to myself to see which colors look better. I usually go shopping with my daughter, and she always lets me know if something looks good or not.

Daughters are good like that. : ) I think white is a color that shows off everyone's imperfections. Sort of like red lipstick. If you don't have white teeth, red lipstick shows all the flaws! LOL

actually most colors don't look too bad on me..not even green (although it depends on what kind of green) or yellow...the one color that I don't like to wear is black though..makes me looks tens times paler than I am.

My skin in very white, even though I'm usually tanned during summer time. Even then, muted earth tone looks horrid on me. It's kind of in even for white people nowadays (remember the Academy Award ceremony?), but I think colors on that tone are not made for white people at all. Oh, and just for the record, it was really difficult to find the translation of "muted earth tone" from Portuguese! Hahaha! :)

I thinks its a matter of mixing and matching the colors so it would look good on us so for me I try to stick to white match with black, blue. As for the worst color for me its bright orange coz my friends teases me from what jail cell I belong to. :))
