i love them both but for the sake of answering the question i prefer female dog. female dogs are better since it reproduce dogs of it's own kind and of course you get to keep them since the female dog delivered them unlike the male dog who only participates in reproduction but in the end the puppies are with their mother so you get to keep them. aside from this, female dog doesn't go far from your house unlike the male dog who tends to roam around in search for a female dog. hence, the male dog is more at risk to be caught by dog pound members in your places. lastly, the female dog is tougher than male dogs especially after pregnancy in order to defend their young ones. these are the reasons why i think that female dogs are better than male dogs.

We have a black labrador bitc*h called Ruby and she is of course the best dog in the world!! We hope to breed from her in due course. Our previous yellow lab had a litter of 10 and then another litter of 7 gorgeous puppies. They were an absolute delight and the biggest time wasters ever. I spent hours playing with them and watching them sleep and dream. What do puppies dream about with their little legs pumping away? What are they chasing when they haven't seen anything yet? The tradition in the UK is for the owner of the sire to have first pick of the litter or about £150 as payment for the stud. The owner of the dam sells the puppies and the going rate at the moment is about £500 each for pedigree pups. So while dogs are easier in many ways I still prefer a bitc*h because of their lovely nature and the possibility of a litter of puppies.

It really doesn't matter to us, what kind of dogs we have. My fiance and I have a female dog that we are looking after, and my mother has a male dog. My sister has both male and female dogs. Gender in animals doens't matte. All these dogs have been spayed or neutered/

I have 6 dogs, and 5 of them are male! It hasn't really been on purpose. Several of the dogs are rescues, and sometimes you just take what comes to you. We have 2 guard dogs for our pasture, and we specifically chose males for that role, because males of any breed tend to grow larger and can be more aggressive, which are traits we wanted in a guardian dog. For pets, it doens't matter to me. I'll take either one.

I have had both male and female dogs throughout my life. I believe that female dogs are more mild mannered. It just depends what you want in a dog. The last dog I got I was searching for a female because we thought a female would be a better companion for the dog we already had.

I feel sexist saying this:)...but I and my family members have almost always chosen a female dog. They just seem easier to train and don't seem as inclined to be dominant. In my experiences, anyway.

I am not that picky when it comes to choosing pets. I would pick both sexes equally somewhat. They are all useful animals and their gender shouldn't matter at all.
