Is Fate What You Make It?

What will be will, be but can you influence the way that your destiny has been mapped out for you? Yes I know that would have liked to have changed certain events that has happened in our life, but what has gone has gone and there is nothing we can do about it. The present is here and now and changing your thoughts to a more positive mental attitude and make the future bright in some cases but not all, as there are other factors involved. I find that if I think positive I can get things done quicker. There was an occasion recently that I had to look at something that a friend wanted to know and I had to go somewhere to find out, but instead of waiting for my friend to wait until tomorrow I said no! I will do it NOW, and all it took was to go somewhere which only took twenty minutes of my time, so my friend knew the answer now, instead of tommorrow. I also felt better for that and I sometimes wonder if that helped to change matters for the next day. Do you feel that way sometimes?

Yes u are right..we cannot control fate.Fate wil always go against us in one way or another. We expect things to be good and yet we get unexpected terrible or negative stuff, which is why good things go bad. This is because we are cureently residing in bad karma since we have gone through many life times through spiritual ignorance, which is why we have all these negative energies in us

Even though we have negative energies around us we can counteract them by producing positive energies and think good is in all of us. Have a nice day from Deeeky.

Yes but that is not easy for most people which is why spiritual advancement is the key to defeating the powerful negative energies. Most people are unawarre that they are carrying huge powerful negative energies which is why misfortune happens to them much easier than fortune. Only through spiritual advancement will make one teh master of his own fate

This is a good but difficult question to answer. I think that you can influence the way that your destiny has been mapped out for you, but I don't think you can change the final outcome. What will be, will be, and we can do nothing about that, but we can influence the journey toward that destiny. I feel it all has to do with the decisions we make in life and the path we choose to take as to whether our journey to our destiny is a rough or a smooth one, but we will always arrive at where we're meant to be, because all things happen for a reason. As for PMA, I don't feel this has a definite link with destiny but giving, of you love, energy, or time is important, as is the taking of those things. If you can walk your path with a positive mental attitude and enjoy the walk, then it will be all the smoother, but it won't influence where you end up. My soul aim in life is to walk my path to my destiny, whatever, or wherever that might be, without too many falls, or bends in the path, and to do that, I need to use my PMA to an extent... I also have to look to my inner self, to better myself, to grow spiritually and to help others where required. I think that just about sums me up. :) Brightest Blessings my dear friend, in perfect love and perfect light, to a smooth path through to your destiny. x

Fates is not made by anyone. It is being controlled by many social factors such as family background, ancestral property, well education, good parenting, hardworking etc., & Ofcourse duly supported by God's mercy which can't be overlooked.

You can help your fate by being in an optimistic frame of mind with a positive attitude in life.

You can change your denstiy to a certain degree, you can go to school and change your career, you can take care of yourself and not eat all the fatty foods and maybe not get heart diseas. Thou I do beleive if it is your time to die,not matter what you do you are still toast. LOL I also know if I dread doing a task when it comes to just doing it, it is not that big of a deal and only takes a few minutes. I guess I dread just getting off my lazy butt. LOL

Im always optimistic even in the face of a losing battle. Fate is something uncontrollable. But it doesn't mean that you have to follow everything that's been set. I think that's why we have choices, so we could alter events in our life..of course, only the present and the future, but never the past.

The past has gone and cannot be altered as we know. Being optimistic can achieve a lot more with a positive mental attitude than being pesamistic.

I truly believe that life is what we make of it, I have found that when I anticipate something good more times than not good comes.

Anticipating good times seems to me though you are doing good things in your life as an optimistic person well done.

I believe your destiny is already written but you can change your fate by how and when you do things. Timing is everything.Let's say you had waited a day to do your errand for your friend, you may have been delayed by traffic and may have not been able to finish. Who knows. When looking back, your past can feel like a big " What if? " All you have is today. So do all you can do each day and follow your bliss.

Thats right sarahruthbeth, we only can take each day as it comes. We have to use the day as best we can but must concentrate on our goals so that we can look back and be proud of our achievments.

There is always that sense of wonder, but you have to realize that there is only one destiny for everybody.. I believe it cannot be changed, I feel the events leading up to that ultimate destiy can be changed. All you have to do is listen to your heart and your senses and know what to listen to.. Yes while doing this it may take that destiny longer to get here by one day or one week or whatever, but everyones ultimate destiny is "to meet their maker" as everyone else says.. So really what is destiny? Is it the rusults you get from your actions in life, or is it the ultimate end? Is it the way you make money or your career? I clearly cannot answer this question for anyone else, but at least you now know my opinion.... Thank you for the interresting topic and I hope therre are a lot of responces from people who do not ramble, unlike myself... SORRY I have a habit...

I think both internal and external variables determine one's destiny.External influences such as parents, teachers, clergy, mentors, economics can effect our mental picture of the world and immediate environment. If one can picture their path through life as a road map, along the way we continuosly encounter deviations or branches along the way ,so you choose a path until the next deviation .Then another then another.Unless you've set a specific goal or place that you wish to go ;Which is the internal variable,It's easy to see how one may get lost or run around in circles to end up back where they started . So how does a positive mental attitude effect the path? Maybe you'd meet different friends giving you a different choice for the next deviation that you encounter.Your outlook may be different.

When you mention being focused and giving yourself a goal to fullfill then that is a positive mental attitude in itself and helps to achieve that goal. Thanks for your response and sometimes going round in circles is stopped by a suggestion by a friend to guide you down a different path.

I do not believe our destinies are mapped out for us, I believe we are all masters of our own fate. I once read that "a strict belief in fate is the worst kind of slavery" and I have to agree. If you believe that it is all layed out for you then why bother doing anything because "what will be will be". Destiny does not decide whether we will get a good job and do well at it. We decide and we achieve by putting in the effort. We do the things we do because of our basic character and our life experiences, not because fate dictates it.

Our basic character as you put is born with us from our parents and thier parents but we can expand on that character whilst living here on this earth and enrich our life with many possibilities around us.
