Did you like L.A. Ink?

I did. It was great to see Kat's new show.It looks like her shop will be great.The artists she picked to be her " family" are so talented. and unlike Miami Ink, all of them can do great portraits, in color or black and grey.Wouldn't it be funny if L.A. Ink lasts longer than Miami Ink?

I liked it. It was nice to see Kat setting up her own place and all that. I do hope that her and Ami patch up whatever differences they have at some point. I think it's pretty awesome that she's gonna have an all-girl shop.
It's nice that all of them can do portraits. But a good shop only needs 1 or 2 people for each specialized tattoo. There are fewer portrait tattoos out there than Japanese style tattoos -- and Kat admitted on Miami Ink that she sucks at that.

Wiccania, I think Corey can do Japanese style tattoos.This should be fun to see if they get a client that wants a Japanese style tattoo.

I must have missed the part where Corey agreed to be part of the shop. I thought that he said no for some reason.
Either way, my point was that when at artist focuses on 1 specialty enough to be really good at it, their skill in other areas is usually nothing spectacular. Some artists are the exception to the rule, of course. But a shop full of artists who specialize in portraits isn't going to be the place to get a more classic or graffiti style tattoo.

L.A. Ink is on TLC on Tuesdays at 10pm Eastern.This Tuesday at 9pm you can see the rerun of the premiere that aired last night. And then this weeks show will air right after.

I really enjoyed it. Kat is just so cool and I would love to have a tattoo from her. She has an incredible talent. I'd like to know where she shops for her clothes.
The others she recruited for her shop are equally talented in their styles and I hope they'll all work well together. Of course there is going to have to be some kind of friction somewhere or the show won't last very long. I'm sure it won't be long for the first multiple PMS show.. and poor Corey's gonna get stuck in the middle!
The reason Miami Ink has done so well is because of Ami. Everyone wants to know when the next explosion is coming.. LOL. He's like a walking powder keg and you're just waiting to see who's got the match that sets him off. It doesn't take much.
Of course any reality show like this is going to set a lot of stuff up just to create drama, but in this case I don't mind, I don't watch it for the drama, I want to see some great tattoos and hear the stories from the customers. Some of them are so touching or funny or just a little weird. Everybody's got their own reasons to get a tattoo.

I agree. A little drama is okay but I watch for the tattoos.All of Kats friends do such great work. And all of them can do portraits. This should be great.

I'm sure she'll be getting other guest artists too and that will be exciting to see all the different styles. I can't wait to see who she gets, hopefully some of my fav artists.
