Life and Lotus... Is there a relationship between them?

There is a relationship between a lotus and life. Lotus is an emblem of a pure life. It gets the birth in the mud as a flower bud. Then it grows up, reach high above the mud and brightnes all around itself. Every person can live like a noble lotus if they try hard with a genuine dedication and passion. Lord Buddha is a great example for such a charachter who was born in this irregular society and gained the noble enlightenment just as a lotus grows up through the mud.
